Beschreibung

Hello everyone!

My name is Wolfgang-Alexander, and I was born in Germany. However, I am only one quarter German because I have also Hungarian and Russian roots. I graduated from high school in summer 2023. After that I decided to travel alone through Europe to get to know life in different countries and maybe find one place to settle.
I’m truely interested in experiencing real life wherever I go and meeting locals. So, I always try to immerse myself in the culture of the country I visit. However, I also want to travel low budged and try to find work in every country. That makes it possible to stay for a longer period at one place and live like a local and make new friends too.
Until now it worked well, and I had amazing workaway experiences in the Balkans. That is why I want to continue my trip in this beautiful part of Europe and visit more Balkan countries.
To briefly describe myself, I would say that I’m a social outdoor person :) I enjoy all kinds of activities in the nature, regardless the weather but prefer them with friends. In summer I like to go on big bike trips with tent and sleeping bag, I like swimming, hiking or just listening to the sounds of nature. In winter I especially love to go cross-country skiing as well as sometimes winter hiking.
However, I really like to be around with good people, in my free time and on work. I enjoy sharing stories or just laughing together and I like to give and receive social appreciation.
To put it in a nutshell; my personality consists of a strong connection to nature and a pronounced social side. I value the diversity offered by both, nature and social connections.
For now, workaway is the perfect platform to connect with like-minded people and to learn life lessons. I already feel like I learned so much more after traveling for only a few months than I learned in 13 years of school!
Now I’m especially interested in working on a farm, homestead, garden... as well as in the eco-tourism field. However, I always try to combine my love for outdoors with opportunities for meaningful social connections. To find the balance can be sometimes a bit of a challenge, but it keeps working until now :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I gained through previous internships and volunteering some experiences especially in farming (dairy farming, horse farming, and holistic/sustainable farming) and in gastronomy. I have also knowledge about health and social affairs, especially when it comes to childcare and education as well as basic hospital work. However, one of my hobbies is to do yard work and some gardening, I’m also familiar with taking care of different animals. In my free time I enjoy studying weather and climate as well as geography, which was my favorite subject in school. Because of personal interest I recently took an online course on digital marketing and advertisement.
