Beschreibung

We are Alberte, 25, and Cecilia, 24, two outgoing, kind and adventurous good friends and previous roomies. We live and study in Copenhagen and are both having a gap year before we start our masters in the fall. We're traveling Norway in May and June, and would like to spend most of the time workaway'ing. We're new to Workaway, but we both have lots of experience in working, volunteering, and taking part in social communities. We are used to taking responsibility and engaging with our soroundings. We are both outgoing and social people, who love meeting new people, exchanging stories, language and culture.

We have both previously lived in Norway and are absolutely in love with the norwegian culture, language and nature: Alberte went to highschool in Flekke, in Vestlandet, and Cecilia spent a semester studying in Tromsø. We both understand most norwegian and speak quite a lot as well, and would love to progress even more.

About Alberte
Alberte likes going to the cinema to watch new and old movies, do yoga, go for long walks, swimming in the ocean, collect mushrooms in the forest, knit and crochet clothes, follow professional cycling, singing, reading modern as well as classical novels, listening to music, cooking vegetarian dishes, going to art museums, and trying out new things. She has lived in Scotland, Norway, New Zealand and Denmark, and loves to explore new places and cultures. She has studied a bachelor in Film and Media, and is going to start her masters in Visual Culture studies in the fall.

About Cecilia
Cecilia likes reading fictional novels, drawing buildings, plants and landscapes, knitting and crocheting clothes and accessories, hiking, bouldering, swimming, doing ceramics, singing, dancing and cooking (mostly) vegetarian dishes from around the world. Besides being fluent in Danish and English, she's half French and therefore speaks the language as well. She has studied a bachelor in Sociology, and is going to study a masters in Global Development in the fall.

We hope to find a place where we can take part in your home and be more than just part time employes. We would love to get to know you, hear your stories, views on the world and engage in your everyday life.

We both like exchanging languages. We would both like to become better in norwegian. We already understand the most and speak so Norwegians can understand us. Alberte is also learning french at the moment and Cecilia speaks it fluently.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We both have extensive work experience, having had a lang list of different jobs since we were 13 years old.

We have service jobs in common, Alberte having worked in different bakeries and cafes, and Cecilia having worked in stores and with serving. We also both have experience in working with children of all ages. Both having worked as substitute teachers in ground school, and both volunteering at summer camps for underprivileged children in roles with big responsibility.

Besides this Alberte has worked at a peach farm in New Zealand, worked with horses, participated in building a wooden deck/terrace, painting facades, cutting trees, gardening and more. Cecilia has worked with painting walls, building with wood and using many different wood working machines and gardening as she is co-owning a garden outside of Copenhagen.

We are open to many different types of work, and would love to learn new skills and take responsibility.
