  We are an organization of Mayan Mam women in Guatemala that are located in the department of Huehuetenango in the municipality of San Sebastián Huehuetenango, we currently have a participation of 300 women, working on projects to strengthen leadership, agriculture, seed capital, individual and group entrepreneurship productive.
  
  We are a civil, non-profit, non-political and non-religious association, which arises from the will of the women of the municipality of San Sebastián H., to satisfy our needs, due to the reality in which we live as Mayan women and rural areas.
  
  Our goals are to improve the living conditions of the people of the municipality of San Sebastián H., as well as to promote the participation of women in local development, proposing, managing and carrying out development projects, such as productive projects, education, health and housing, that benefit the associates, our families, and therefore our communities.
  
  MISSION
  We are an organization of women, from different communities of the Municipality of San Sebastián Huehuetenango, where we seek the economic and social development of our families and for this we work together to get out of the poverty and discrimination that we suffer as Mayan women.
  
  VISION
  A women's organization that promotes improvements in the lives of women and their families, strengthening their human development in all its dimensions.
  The committees are protagonists of development, promoting and carrying out actions that benefit their communities.
  Values and recognizes the contribution of human resources (Associates, youth, volunteers and staff) and constantly promotes their human and social growth.
  
  We are an organization with transparent, effective and efficient management.
  
  
  Somos una organización de mujeres maya mam en Guatemala que nos ubicamos en el departamento de Huehuetenango en el municipio de San Sebastián Huehuetenango, actualmente contamos con una participación de 300 mujeres, trabajando proyectos de fortalecimiento de liderazgo, agropecuarios, capital semilla, emprendimientos individuales y grupales productivos.
  
  Somos una Asociación civil, no lucrativa, apolítica y sin fines religiosos, que surge de la voluntad de las mujeres del municipio de San Sebastián H., de satisfacer nuestras necesidades, debido a la realidad en que vivimos como mujeres Mayas y de las aéreas Rurales
  
  Nuestros fines son el de mejorar las condiciones de vida de las personas del municipio de San Sebastián H., así como promover la participación de las mujeres en el desarrollo local, proponiendo, gestionando y realizando proyectos de desarrollo, tales como proyectos productivos, proyectos de educación, salud y vivienda, que beneficien a las asociadas, a nuestras familias, y por ende a nuestras comunidades.

  Somos una organización de mujeres, de diferentes comunidades del Municipio de San Sebastián Huehuetenango, en donde buscamos el desarrollo económico y social de nuestras familias y para ello trabajamos unidas para salir de la pobreza y discriminación que sufrimos como mujeres Mayas.

  Una organización de mujeres que promueve mejoras en la vida de las mujeres y sus familias, fortaleciendo su desarrollo humano en todas sus dimensiones.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Knowing the culture, the organizational work carried out by the associated women, experience of the regional context, the language. The volunteers will be able to learn about the local language, the field work, the resources available to the families, the orographic conditions of the place, the ecological forms of life.
  
  Conociendo la cultura, el trabajo organizativo que realizan las mujeres asociadas, experiencia del contexto regional, el idioma. Los voluntarios podrán conocer el idioma local, el trabajo de campo, los recursos con que cuenta las familias, las condiciones orográficas del lugar, las formas ecológicas de vida.

  Arbeit

  We are looking for professionals in the following fields :
  - teachers to give lessons in English, French, German, etc (to children, younger and adult)
  - construction (flooring), electricidad, plumbing
  - fundraising (crowdfunding and partnerships with donors/funders)
  We also need support with:
  - Management of social networks (facebook, instagram, etc.)
  - Creation of content for the website and social networks
  - Editing of video and photographs
  - Pilot / car driver
  - Agricultural advice
  - Mural painting
  - Building painting
  - Recreational workshops (artistic)
  - Building maintenance (cleaning, tidying, etc.)
  - Teleworking workshops (accounting, human rights, gender, etc.)
  
  The needs are in constant change and you will not be doing one activity per week.
  It is important that the volunteers can make suggestions about things that need to be developed as volunteering is new for us, and so we need your support to improve the organizational structure of volunteer activities.
  
  
  Estamos buscando a unos profesionales en los siguientes ámbitos:
  
   profesores de idioma para la creación de cursos de inglés, francés, alemán, etc (para niños, jóvenes y adultos)
   recaudación de fondos (crowdfunding y busca de donantes/financiadores)
   construcción (colocación de piso) electricidad, plomería
  
  También necesitamos apoyo para:
  - Manejo de redes sociales (facebook, instagram, etc)
  - Piloto/ conductor de carro
  - Creación de contenido para página web y redes sociales
  - Edición de video y fotografías
  - Conocimiento en el reciclaje y bioconstrucción
  - Asesoría Agropecuaria
  - Crear murales con pintura
  - Pintar el edificio
  - Talleres lúdicos (artísticos)
  - Mantenimiento de edificio (limpieza, ordenar etc.)
  - Talleres de teletrabajo (contabilidad, derechos humanos, Gènero, etc)
  
  Todas las necesidades están en constante cambio por lo que no realizarás una sola actividad en la semana. Es importante que cada voluntario presente propuestas de actividades a desarrollar ya que no contamos con una estructura organizada y necesitamos de su apoyo para mejorar la estructura organizacional de actividades de voluntarios.

  Unterkunft

  Our Association has complete accommodation (bedrooms, showers, bathrooms and kitchen), offices, 1 multipurpose room, internet access (wifi) in all areas. The headquarters of our organization is located 5 minutes walk from the central park of the town; which gives access to food (market, shops, squares, dining rooms)
  The volunteers will live in office building in San Sebastian and will visit the communities living around or in the mountains from time to time.
  
  We have a kitchen for food preparation.
  The followings will be available for volunteers: stove with oven, blender, refrigerator, jug water dispenser, morning tea or coffee and oatmeal.
  There are inexpensive markets near the office where you can purchase everything you need for the other meals.
  
  Nuestra Asociación cuenta con alojamiento completo (dormitorios, duchas, baños y cocina), oficinas, 1 salón de usos múltiples, acceso a internet (wifi) en todas las área. La sede de nuestra organización se encuentra a 5 minutos caminando del parque central del pueblo; lo que da acceso a alimentos (mercado, tiendas, plazas, comedores)
  Los voluntarios estarán alojados en la casa-oficina en San Sebastián y algunas veces visitarán las comunidades del alrededor o en las montañas.
  
  Contamos con una cocina para la preparación de alimentos.
  Los voluntarios tendrán: estufa con horno, licuadora, refrigeradora, dispensador de agua potable en garrafón, café o té en la mañana y avena.
  El resto es por cuenta de ustedes, existen mercados económicos donde pueden realizar sus compras.

  The departmental capital is located 45 minutes away by public bus, with a fare of $1 USA, near the municipality there are other towns with other cultures and tourist places, there is public transport every day of the year. The town has a tuctuc transport service (mototaxis).
  
  La cabecera departamental esta ubicada a 45 minutos en bus público, con una tarifa de $1 USA, cerca del municipio existen otros pueblos con otras culturas y lugares turísticos, se cuenta con transporte publico todos los días del año.
  
  El pueblo cuenta con servicio de transporte tuctuc (mototaxis).
