Recibir a José Andrés ha sido muy enriquecedor, hemos compartido nuestros conocimientos gratamente; él con su perfecto conocimiento del inglés académico me ha aportado mucho apoyo de cara a mis estudios de inglés, y por otro lado yo le he enseñado técnicas de medida y corte con materiales de aislamiento y pladur para aislar mi techo. Y ha sido una experiencia de trabajo en equipo muy agradable, es un buen ayudante para tareas técnicas. Espero verte de nuevo por aquí amigo y gracias de nuevo!

Celine is our first workawayer and it was a pleasant experience. She is a very brave and intelligent person to venture out to our place which is quite remotely located. Always smiling with a can do attitude, Celine helped us with coffee picking and other chores in the garden. She is very neat and tidy, and kept the volunteer accommodation clean. We wish Celine the best.

This is my first Workaway experience, and Guglielmo is a great host. He thinks about almost everything you might need in advance and explains it clearly, which makes communication very easy — and I think that’s extremely important. The work is very easy and not too demanding. You can take your time to do it, and he is not a harsh person, so there are not too many requests or pressure. As for the food, I just want to say it’s amazing — BBQ, pasta, and more. You can really enjoy the food as well.

Alicia and Matteo, were with us for three weeks, they were simply WONDERFUL, they were punctual ,enthusiastic and hardworking, we were very lucky to have had their help. they were easy to get along with and fast learners, very caring of the farm animals. Another point I wish to note, they had great respect not only for us but also for the place they stayed (the volunteers accommodation) they kept it very clean and tidy. We miss their cheerfulness and warm smiles they would greet us with each morning, Wishing them both all the best in the future .

Kitti’s family is incredibly kind and welcoming. We stayed for one week and helped with cleaning at Kitti’s hotel, as well as working at Dino Smoothie Shop. It was our very first Workaway experience, and we truly loved it. A big thank you to Kitti, Khuan, and Grandma for the amazing homemade food, it was unforgettable!

After having Klaudia stay on the farm, we highly recommend her if you're looking for a great volunteer! She is hard working, curious and bright, and she gives 100% of herself to everything she does, so we got a lot achieved while she was here! Thanks for sharing your beautiful spirit and for all of your hard work Klaudia! We wish you all the best for your travels! Good luck!

What a nice experience I stayed with Marta in your community and Charity school in Arusha. She was a very charming, active and helpful one from Spain. He was always trying to go extra mile. Try to connect with Loco as well as anticipating whatever the help is needed. Her working experience and spirit remain as a unforgettable memory today, Madame and children at our school Suggest as the beginning it will it’s also arrived to the end that no one at the school was ready to let her go back once the end is called. We just need to pick up. I would very much like to say thank you Marta and wish you all the best and I recommend you for in the future host

I had a wonderful stay with this amazing couple and their adorable 1-year-old baby. Life with them is peaceful, joyful, and natural... There are lots of things to do together, such as cooking, gardening, pollinating vanilla during the flowering season, and teaching English or French at the village school... Elizabeth and Omega will be happy to share experiences with you, such as bird watching, making coffee, fishing, and going for walks. But there are many other possibilities, depending on what you like ! We shared wonderful moments and conversations, and I felt right at home... A true sharing experience. Go ahead, stay with them—it's hard to leave! Thank you, my friends.

Rob and Allison were a tremendous help, and wonderful people to be around. They are very skilled, experienced and flexible, willing and able to take on almost any task, and always ready to improve and problem solve. Rob and Allison really sought to understand and support our small business in many practical ways, and they seamlessly fit into our work routine. Communication was excellent, and we really enjoyed the conversations and shared meals with them. Their dedication to "serve others" is a beautiful gift for anyone lucky enough to have them as volunteers. We really hope that Rob and Allison will return to St. Lucia in the future! THANK YOU for everything.

Stayed with Nellie and Byron at end of October 2025. Had a great experience in Hakuba! Helped out with gardening and waste removal / transportation mainly. Nellie and Byron were extremely friendly / accommodating and flexible during my stay. I stayed in one of their lodges which was very comfortable with own private room. Nellie and Byron communicate clearly and keep you in the loop in terms of potential up coming tasks - excatly what I look for in a Workaway. Overall fantastic experience. I had a great time at the very nice place Athena and Giorgios are living! They are very open and nice people. I only stayed for a short period of time plus because of health issues there was no possibility to fully get part of the tasks. But we managed finding possibilities to take over some tasks. I really enjoyed to take part in tai chi lessons and that I was always asked if I want to join the daily swimming at the sea or getting some food in the city. It was so nice that I was welcomed to join the events they had together with guests too! Thanks for taking me everywhere, for the insights in gardening and taking care of the animals and housework! :)

I volunteered for 2 weeks here and I had a lovely time. Bountan was very welcoming, kind and friendly! Bountlisth who manages the volunteers' was based at the tour company in Thakhek so I met him before I travelled to Nakai and he explained what he needed help with. Then we communicated via WhatsApp and he also came to visit a few times during my stay. The hotel is quiet during the day after guests have checked out and before new people checked in, so I had a lot of time to relax and have time to myself. I loved spending time playing with little Bieu, who has a huge personality and bundles of energy. I'll miss her a lot! We had a lot of fun chasing the cows away and playing doctor! The 3 meals a day were amazing, so tasty and varied. Bountan went above and beyond to cater for all of the volunteer's different dietary requirements - which was so kind. I spent most of my shifts posting on Instagram, making posters on canva, replying to Workawayers, checking people in and out and generally interacting with guests. There are usually 3-4 volunteers at a time. While I was there I worked with 5 different volunteers across the 2 weeks. A work routine is not imposed on you and you can decide between you when you'll work (5 hours a day) - as long as check in and check out hours are covered and someone is always insight of the front desk during opening hours. I also enjoyed the down time whilst not working. I went on hikes to the local waterfall (4 hour round trip) and spent a few nights away to visit Konglor Cave and the Rock viewpoint - which I loved. Overall I really enjoyed my experience and would recommend this Workaway for people who enjoy customer service, love kids, are looking for a relaxed environment and are comfortable taking initiative/working independently. Lots of love to everyone!

je suis restée 2 semaines et demi chez doudou et Alain et c'était merveilleux ! je ne l'ai vu que quelques jours car après ils devait partir , mais c'est quelques jour ont était très enrichissants. Ils m'ont acceuilli comme si je faisais deja parti de la maison, je me suis senti directement à l'aise, on est aller se baigner, ils m'ont fait découvrir le jardin. bref tous était parfait, et mon expérience seule était génial aussi. je n'ai pas eu de problème avec la maison , j'ai fait les travaux demandés ( j'ai bien pris soin de Raskalito, il me manque déjà) voilà ! je pense que je reviendrais sur Syros l'été prochain et j'espère qu'on se reverra doudou et Alain !

After living with this lovely family for 3 months, the different experiences was amazing. This family will welcome you with love and care. I learned a lot about Australian and New Zélande culture, charging my French culture too. The work it's really flexible, you make your own schedule. So you can managed your time and do a lot of things on the side. Tuterangi is a lovely child, he love playing with cars, watching rugby and just spending time with you. We bonded really quickly and we had our on fun routine to always have a great time. I really loved my time in this house and was so sad during the fairway. I still miss my time over there

I stayed with Kristin and Steve for two weeks and I am so glad I did! I had a wonderful time at their house. They were do engaged in making the most of my stay, taking me to different events in the area and they even prepared a whole thanksgiving dinner for me and the other guests eventhough it wasn't thanksgiving, just so we Europeans can experience it (side note: the food was awesome!). The house is very cozy and the area is beautiful! There is a lot to do around there even without a car. There are many nice hikes and little towns, that you can reach with public transportation! I helped out around the house and the garden, there is a lot to do and Kristin and Steve are quite thorough, but it is rewarding to help out and they are very grateful when you do so! I would love to come back one day and would recommend to everybody staying with them in nice little Peshastin!

We had Ciara stay with us for two weeks, in that time we did firewood and other farm work .Ciara is a good worker, great to work with and a good understanding of the work that had to be done . We enjoyed Ciara stay and has a great sense of humour and would be most welcome to come back , thanks for all your help and safe travels. Cheers David

Words can't describe my experience at the Buddha meditation center, from the initial contact on Workaway to the day I left on which I questioned myself on why I didn't cancel all my upcoming trips to extend my stay here, this place is more than a 5/5! I could write an essay about why this place is so amazing, but as mentioned, words don't do this place justice. So, in short: the work is varying, sometimes hard and physical, sometimes easy and repetitive; all Sunims are super kind, lovely and amazing people to work with; there is plenty of time for meditation and even one-on-one talks if you want about how to improve your meditation; the surrounding area is calm and tranquil, away from big cities yet somehow quite easy to reach (especially with the great instructions given by the Sunims), with wonderful night skies and amazing views over the mountains; you'll have a private room so you can withdraw and do meditation in private if you want; and the food is nothing short of amazing, consisting of mainly healthy vegan meals. All of these things are amazing, but by far the best thing is how this place changes your mind for the better. You'll learn to not worry about the future or ponder about things you did in the past, to become a peaceful person with a calm mind. Throughout my stay there was never a moment where I was looking forward to some future event, every day I went to bed feeling satisfied and whole, and every day I woke up early to feel amazed and enchanted by the morning meditation and chanting session. If you're thinking of going here: don't doubt, just do it. Give them the best help you can give, and in return you'll leave as a new person.

I came to Germany during this season , it truly felt the cold weather here! Because I come from Asia but I love chilly or cool weather ! Since I love animals .i had my first experience working on a farm , it’s a little bit change for me but I enjoyed at the same time I had a co-worker Anja , we had a great time together ! And I am very thankful that Frauke provided generally bio foods there we were happy cooked our own meals ! Work clothes and jackets also provided on side, which was more than enough.

We had an absolutely fantastic two weeks with Darrall. He lives in a beautiful self-built house with the sea on one side and the forest on the other. The cottage we stayed in was wonderful en very comfortable. We helped Darrall with weeding, mulching, filling up the trailer and some painting. The work was very fair and enjoyable to do, as we could see the progress we made. Darral has a beautiful garden with many fruit trees and native plants and a bird bath where all the local birds come to visit. We saw a kookaburra up close and even some wallabies came to visit. In our free time we went to the beaches in Tea Gardens which are amazing! We also had some wonderful evenings with Darrall where we shared some homemade food and had very interesting conversations about the Golden triangle and the intriguing geometry his house design is based on. All in all our time here was lovely and peaceful and we would recommend Darrall to anyone! Thanks Darrall for an unforgettable stay, we wish you all the best ❤️🌿🌈✨

Very late in leaving feedback but we had a wonderful, albeit brief stay at Saroj's place in late October. Saroj and his family were incredibly warm and hospitable and the farming work very enjoyable. Thank you, Saroj!
