I stayed here for 2 months and I had a great time with Barbi’s and Stew’s family. Barbi and Stew are really nice hosts and they are reliable, respectful and flexible with my travel plans. The work was very easy (laundry, tidying up the house and sometimes special tasks like deep cleaning) and I had plenty of time for snowboarding and exploring the area! I really enjoyed to talk and play with the kids and cuddle with their lovely dog, Diesel. If you guys have the opportunity to stay with this friendly family, do it and you gonna have an amazing time here :) Just note, there’s no nightlife or social activities (during winter) so you should be comfortable to entertain yourself during your stay. But you will have access to a gym room, hot tub and a sauna with a mountain view that makes it worth it :))) Thank you so much for this experience!

I stayed with him for a week, but it was a very special experience. I feel like we worked as a very good team. The job was not exhausting and clear. Overall, I can't complain.

I spent almost 3 weeks here. It was a very great experience. Not just the DIY work where I could bring my own ideas and suggestions what to improve but also the interaction with guests and the neighbors. This is real Turkey No fake tourist artisan dance etc. This is where people from Istanbul and surroundings make their holidays. Arda is a fabulous host and although not always physically present always reachable as well as happy to give you many insights about turkey, his business etc. If you truly want to understand the turkey of today (&improve your DIY skills, as well as cooking&cleaning 😜)come here

I had a wonderful experience staying with Max, Roxy, and Camila. They are such a welcoming family. Their apartment is very nice and they do their best to make you feel right at home there. Camila is very good in English already, so I had fun playing games, reading, and writing with her. I would highly recommend this workaway for anyone visiting Arequipa as you will have a lot of freedom and a more local experience.

Hello, this is a great place to get in touch with the culture of indigenous people. Both of the hosts are lovely, friendly and open- minded. I was included in their daily life and had some good conversations. I learned a lot about saving water, sustainability and planting trees. Big recomandation

We are very grateful for the time you spent with us and for the love and care you showed to the children they really enjoyed having you around. We’re happy to hear that you felt at home with us and that your time in Arusha, both at the daycare and during your weekend visits, was enjoyable. It was a pleasure hosting you and supporting you throughout your stay. Thank you for choosing to volunteer with us and for being part of our daycare family, even for a short time. You are always welcome back. Wishing you all the best in your future travels and adventures!

I had so much fun working at this hostel, It was September, so it was still pretty busy, I made so many friends, met so many people, and did so many things in the city. We played basketball games, went to bars and clubs, shared meals with locals, explored the city, and lots more. While working, you have either the morning afternoon or night shift, about 6 hours each, but you don't have to be glued to the reception desk the whole time, it can be pretty chill or busy, but either way it's very social and engaging. Claas the host is an interesting guy, he made sure we had food and everything was clean and in order. It was nice to talk to him about politics, history, food. He is a very down to earth kind of person. Overall, I had a great time.

Pauline was such a great Workawayer. She was friendly, easy to communicate with, so helpful with everything in the household, the teens and we all really loved her company. She was happy to work by herself with instructions, or with us on projects or whatever we had going on. She fitted in so fast and always was so easy to work with. She has many skills and talents (cooking, cleaning, housework, shopping, driving and computer skills) and learns very quickly and we all missed her when she left. We would highly recommend her as a workawayer, you will be lucky to have her if an exchange works out for you. A+++ for Pauline.

Dotty is fun to bee around. She did more than planned both what i asked, and things she felt to do. And as soon as there was something artistic that could be done, she was all in 😁 She is a hard worker just as i like it 🙂 Would recomend her a lot 🙂

Working here was one of the greatest experiences in my six months in South America. Hector was the perfect host- friendly, accommodating, genuinely hilarious. He's also a terrific fixture in the community; in addition to providing English education, he regularly supports fundraisers and social causes (which we got to participate in)! By supporting students in their English education, I got to experience Taltal holistically and individually- not just the customs and the daily life, but the man who runs a small convenience store and the engineer who wants to go to college in America and the teenager who loves a 17-year-old video game franchise. It brought back a sense of community that I had almost forgotten existed anywhere in the world- and here it was, in a little town in Chile. Also, Hector is an incredible cook. Absolutely a 10/10 experience.

I had a truly wonderful time at Fernando’s incredibly beautiful place. Communication was easy and uncomplicated and he replied very quickly. It was a great experience from the very beginning. Working in his stunning permaculture garden was a real joy. I learned so much for example how to prepare a kind of clay from the soil of the land and use it creatively for building. Fernando loves to share his knowledge and explains everything with patience and enthusiasm. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful with many hiking trails and unique nature. Fernando’s cave house is very impressive and something really special. My dog Hazel already misses his three dogs a lot which says everything about the warm and welcoming atmosphere. There is a small central kitchen which is perfect for cooking together sharing meals and spending time around the campfire. Fernando is always helpful checking in regularly to make sure everything is ok. He knows an incredible amount about plants nature and the lifestyle he lives and loves. I can highly recommend Fernando’s place. It was a truly enriching and beautiful experience. Thank you so much to everyone who was part of this time. I will definitely come back one day ❤️

I just spend 7 weeks with them. It was one of the most amazing experienfes ive ever had🥰 Samira and Niko are amazing people and they right away made me feel like at home. They take really great care of the dogs and i could feel how much each dog means to them. The work i did was extremly fullfilling and rewarding. I also enjoyed the talks i had with Samira and Niko and i really had the best time ever. I met a lot of dogs and heard their storys and its heartbreaking but i could see how their life got better and that made me feel greatfull to know that there are people on this world that still care! Samira and Niko always made sure i had everything i needed. They drove me to the grocerie store (cause i cant drive) and drove me anywhere i wanted to visit😊 My day looked like this: We started at 7am (on weekends around 7:30) with feeding the first round of the dogs. We then had a quick coffe break and then moved on to the next round. When all the dogs were outside i would clean their bowls and their kennels and then help with whatever else needed to be done (laundry, picking up poop ouside etc) and then get the dogs back in. After that we would eat breakfest and talk😊 At 11am we would  get the dogs outside again (except ond weekends, then there is no midday round) and i normally chilled with the dogs outside🙈 I would then have my break until 4pm. At 4 we started all over again with feeding the dogs, making sure everything is nice in the kennels and, again, doing all the things that still needed to be done. I normally finished my work at around 5:30-6pm and sometimes we would cook a meal all together and sometimes i made something for myself😊 I really enjoyed my time there and im sad to go. But i will definitely be back. So i would definitely tell you to visit them if you like dogs and want a fullfilling and rewarding work😊 Thank you again to Samira and Niko for everything that you do!!!

Juliet is super cool. Super smart and educated, a very generous lady who makes sure you have everything you need, makes sure you've got food in your belly and a beer in hand. We had many deep conversations and it seems she can really connect with different kinds of people. Also she is super social, and I met many of her neighbors and friends who were all very nice and fun. We shared meals usually twice a day, and afterwards all the volunteers would play games or watch a movie, it was a great time. Working was fair, after breakfast we would all work for about 5 hours, with a break for lunch. There is plenty of hands on work to be done, so you've gotta bring the right shoes. I worked on felling a tree, digging out a stream, pruning trees, and clearing blackberry brambles; it was difficult work, but it felt amazing to jump in the pool afterwards and kick back with some new friends for dinner. Also, the area is beautiful, I went to the beach a few times and it is unbelievable. the Cinque terre, and other towns on the coast are beautiful and have amazing people and food. Thank you Juls xx

I had a wonderful time volunteering with Given. I was there for one month and would definitely recommend. The children at the daycare were so sweet and I loved spending time with them. I was assisting in the classroom aloneside his 3 permanent teachers. I stayed with Given and his wife in their house and they were amazing hosts. I had a room to myself and they cooked me hommade meals everyday. I Had the chance on weekends to visit places around Arusha and go on safari. Given made sure I had everything I needed and checked in regularly. I'm used to traveling around and exploring by myself and since the local transport system can be a bit tricky I wasn't able to do that. But Given made sure I was able to see the things I wanted to and accompanied me to those places. The people in Arusha are incredibly kind and friendly and I really enjoyed my time. Thank you Given and Glory!

I was here for 3 weeks in November with another volunteer, it's a super nice hostel, super warm and has a wood burning furnace too. Since it was in the slow season there were really not a lot of guests, I would clean the hostel for a couple hours and make a few beds here and there. The owners were super nice and very friendly, they always gave good recommendations for where to visit, where to eat, how to get around, and show you how to do everything how they expect. I highly recommend volunteering here, I hope to be back again.

It will be true to say that Morgan and her family have become my Balinese family, my home away from home. It was my first time on the island, actually these were Christmas and New Year holidays and I felt more than welcomed by everyone. After a short time I spent at their villa in Canggu, I came back to visit them several times and we still keep in touch. A lovely family, a wonderful accommodation, highly recommend this workaway opportunity to everyone🙏

This was our first experience volunteering with workaway so we didn’t know what to expect and what to find in Ezuz. Celia and Dror are such heartfelt people, they make you feel at home the moment you get there and have a good sense of humor. Their hospitality is HUGE, they provide you with everything you need and so much more. The work is easy to understand and they always make sure that you don’t overdo yourself and get enough rest. Especially Dror is like a teacher and makes you learn the things step by step so that you feel confident in handling the goats by yourself quickly. Also the farm is in a really beautiful and peaceful location and you can learn so many new things for life there. Gardening in the desert, eating the most delicious goat cheese and being out in the desert with the goats… a truly magical experience that hardly felt like work because you really enjoy it So go there and see for yourself; you won’t regret it! And we wish Celia and Dror the best in life and lots of health for the animals as well. We are more than lucky that we had the chance to meet the two of them and we are a 100% sure it won’t be the last time that we see each other All the best Matteo and Alicia
