I stayed on the farms for 2 weeks and wish I could have stayed longer. I had the opportunity to participate in both organic farming as well as the permaculture orchard and loved both. The team there is amazing and super passionate about what they do, I learned a lot although I was only there for a short time. Zeb and halina were super flexible when I needed to change my dates (as I was arriving by bike) and were able to host me in the schoolhouse to accommodate. Everyone there is incredibly welcoming and really make you feel part of the community. The volunteering hours are very reasonable and the accomodation is beautiful and very comfortable. Best of all, I enjoyed organic meat and vegetables from the farm which was a real treat after biking for 2 weeks. Would go back again anytime. Thanks again for a beautiful first Workaway experience!

Justin and Léonie were of great help with the garden and the house. They mulched fruit trees, moving bucket after bucket of cow manure and bark chips; they weeded my driveway, weeded the veggie garden and many more invasive weeds around the whole property. They are cheerful people with a super positive attitude; they are keen to learn about ecological organic gardening, and they are interested in the culture of Aotearoa. Happy happy travels to you both! Kakite!!

Estoy profundamente agradecida por haber conocido a Gustavo; es un ser de luz con una paciencia infinita (incluso para aguantar mis ronquidos! jaja) y un gran maestro. Lo que más me llevo es haber aprendido con las manos en el barro, entendiendo que la autosustentabilidad física y espiritual van siempre juntas. Aprendí muchísimo sobre construcción natural, permacultura y fitolimpieza, pero lo más lindo fue cómo Gustavo te enseña a conectar cada tarea con algo más profundo. El aprendizaje fue mucho más allá de lo técnico: este proyecto es un espacio sagrado para reconectar con la naturaleza y con uno mismo. El lugar un rincón de paz total donde se vuelve a lo esencial: el respeto por la tierra y por los que la habitan. No solo fue trabajar en las tareas, sino compartir la vida misma: las charlas con un mate, la música, los silencios necesarios, nuestro intercambio de idiomas y, por supuesto, la comida rica. Me sentí como en casa, en un ambiente de hermandad y aprendizaje constante y me habría gustado quedarme más que solo una semana! Si buscás un lugar para evolucionar y aprender a vivir de forma más consciente, este es el lugar. Gracias por todo, Gus! Me voy con el corazón lleno y muchas ganas de volver.

Caroline is the best! While my van was being fixed, I looked for a host and she replied in no time. Despite having another volunteer coming, Caroline was kind enough to take me in her warm home. I got to help her painting a wall and gardening.

My three months with Rose, Owen, and Ailsa will remain an incredibly special season in my life. This was one of my first workaway experiences and their warmth, kindness, and generosity immediately set me at ease. The accommodations were very comfortable and the area is like a fairy tale with many sheep, bunnies, magpies, and robins. I would often make the hour walk from the house to Clogher and enjoyed my time there immensely! The daily tasks were communicated very well and were very enjoyable~ I especially loved playing with Ailsa and watching her grow. She is an incredibly smart, kind, and creative young person! I enjoyed many conversations at the kitchen table Rose discussing life, family, and culture, and car rides with Owen learning about his work. I travelled on the weekends to Donegall, Dublin, Belfast, Enniskillen, Derry, and more! I am so grateful to Rose, Owen, and Ailsa (and their dogs Jess and Dozer) for an incredible three months. I miss them already!♥️♥️♥️

Anuschka is pleasure to be with! She fit in here very well with us elderlies and was a wonderful support with our orchard project. She's great at finding creative ways to answer snags, is willing to learn and easy to talk to. I recommend her and she is always welcome here.

Beautiful experience! 10/10 recommend to anyone passing through Arequipa. Evelin and her family are incredibly beautiful people. My partner and I were lucky enough to stay with them for one month and easily could of stayed longer if we didn't have to continue with our travels. The work was more than a fair exchange and the living facilities were top class and it was a pleasure to get to spend time with the family. The hostel is a great place with a lot of activities to do onsite and a variety planned tours. Evelin was always willing to help and offer local advise which we used to our advantage visiting so many attractions the area has to offer. Her love and openness really made us feel like family from the first day we arrived. A great place to have as a base for travellers. Thanks Evelin

Raphael spend almost 2 weeks at our place, during a very busy time. What we really appreciated was his willingness to work, he never turned down a task at any hour or any circumstance. His youthful energy was especially helpful for manual labour, including heavy lifting, but he also participated in gentle puppy activities. Raphael is a polite and quiet. He needs to gain more skills and experience, regarding both work and adult life, but with his willingness to learn, we don't doubt he'll be a useful addition to your household or project.

Bronia stayed with us for a week, and was an excellent volunteer. She did a great job weeding, potting, and planting. Bronia is a knowledgeable gardener and great company. We thoroughly enjoyed hosting her and absolutely recommend to others.

It was a beautiful time watching over this stunning natural oasis... Ralph & Marion have created a home made of solid beams of love, and the house is surrounded by lush nature in all directions. The cats are adorable, during my stay Blacky became a close and dear friend and I had sweet fun with Nepumuck and sleepy-Freddy as well :) I also truly appreciate all members of the family that I've met during the time at the farm, all are noble positive human beings.

On short notice we were invited to fill a time gap to help with Housesitting. Kerry and Martin welcomed us to come, sight unseen, and take over the responsibility of their amazing beautiful property in southern France. Our 5 weeks were wonderful, the studio apartment was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the area. We kept ourselves busy with basic gardening, yard work, bucking firewood, etc. Truly a fantastic experience and we hope to connect again with Kerry and Martin in future. Derek and Bobbi

J'ai contacté Abdou seulement deux semaines avant mon arrivée chez lui. Il n'avait pas beaucoup de disponibilité, mais il a pu m'accueillir pour 4 jours. Ce qui m'arrangeait parfaitement. Nous avons rapidement communiquer via WhatsApp. Le mois de décembre est peu achalandé et Abdou n'avait pas beaucoup de travail à me donner. Les deux premiers jours, il m'a dit de profiter de mes journées. J'ai ainsi pu facilement découvrir la ville d'Essaouira, très accueillante, très jolie et pleine de petits commerces en tout genre. Il faut aller sur le port pour y déguster du poisson frais grillé sur place. C'est tout simplement délicieux ! Le troisième jour, les deux chambres se sont libérées, j'ai pu enfin rendre service à Abdou en faisant le ménage de l'appartement. Mais cela ne m'a pas occupée plus de 3h. J'ai donc eu toute mon après-midi pour aller admirer l'océan, ses énormes vagues s'écrasant sur les rochers et son magnifique coucher de soleil sur l'île de Mogador. Chaque jour, Abdou communiquait avec moi pour prendre de mes nouvelles et de savoir si j'avais besoin de quelque chose. Le soir, il me rendait visite et m'apportait des petits gâteaux faits par sa soeur. Abdou est une personne généreuse et qui a coeur que nous profitions pleinement de notre séjour à Essaouira. Abdou, un énorme merci pour ton accueil chaleureux et formidable !

We had the pleasure to host Esther for 4 weeks and we are so grateful for her help. Esther is the most reliable, thoughtful and organized person you can meet. It was really easy to get along and because she is used to be around horses and dogs it was so easy to get in to a work rhythm. She was always approachable and up for any task, even the dreaded things like weeding, cleaning the pastures and preparing the veggie beds for winter. The reinforcement of the stable wall would not have been done by now if we would have undertaken that task alone! We enjoyed her stay very much and are not happy to see her go but we hope there might be another opportunity in the future for another stay and we are looking forward to the time we meet again.

Hannah was a wonderful volunteer! She always had a positive attitude and was willing to help out in a variety of different things. She left her mark here with so many beautifully painted signs around the property too :) I would highly recommend her to any host!

He is definitely a a person that you will need. He is very talented about diy and warm. I strongly recommend him!
