Bettina is the best! I’m incredibly grateful for the nearly two months I was able to spend with her. She’s caring, kind, and open-hearted, and everything feels easy and relaxed with her 🙂 Her dogs are absolutely adorable, and you can be sure that Kyro will greet you every morning with a wagging tail, making your day start off right. I can only highly recommend her as a host! Thank you again for everything!

Carlotta stayed with us for ~ three weeks and was a wonderful part of our home and farm. Although she originally planned to stay for two weeks, we were happy when she chose to extend her stay. She helped with a range of tasks including feeding the horses, checking the chickens, working in the vegetable garden, looking anfter the dog and general farm help, and she approached everything with a positive attitude. She was reliable, responsible, and happy to pitch in wherever help was needed. Carlotta got along very well with everyone. She was friendly, and contributed to a great group atmosphere. It was lovely to see her connect with others and make the most of the experience, including travelling with fellow workawayers afterward. She was also great with our daughter and animals, and we really appreciated her openness and enthusiasm for learning new things during her stay. We wish her all the best in her travels and future adventures.

I stayed around 10 days at the farm and had the best time. The work is fair (it's tasks like planting garlic, packaging produce, pickling cabbage..), there's around 20 other volunteers who will definitely make your stay a lot of fun, the accommodation is good (big kitchen, two shared bathrooms and a lot of different rooms to stay in), you get fresh produce from the farm and other food provided. Communication with Burak worked flawlessly and he gave me loads of information about how to get to the farm, which is about 45min from Izmit, the next big town, where you can also go on the weekends. Otherwise you can always spent time with the other volunteers, cooking together, playing boardgames, making pizza and joking around :)

Adam stayed here for around 2 and a half weeks. He is a very positive young man and always has a smile on his face. He helped me a lot with all kind of tasks around the house and in the forest. We shared the cooking tasks and Adam as already mentioned in a previous feedback is baking the best sourdough bread. Also the best crackers.... Everybody that gets to know Adam can consider himself lucky! High recommendation!

Ian worked at our place for 2 weeks with a week’s break in between while he went tramping further south. He immediately fitted in well with us, our lifestyle, conversations and meals joining in on fun with our extended family. He was quick to learn, worked well, was independent, focused, careful and a great worker. He was willing to takes on any task he was given including concreting, cleaning the car and the shower. Ian easily took instructions from John, and mostly worked independently. He completely weeded the veggie and flower gardens, dug over garden beds adding compost, planted veges, and helped secure plants in a gale. He cooked us a delicious meal and was always there when we started cooking and stayed around to chat then clean up afterwards. He entertained himself during his time off going on tramps, walks , mountain bike rides, kayaking and relaxing. Ian has a thoughtful, mindful, can-do nature and we recommend him highly to any host. We welcome him back on his return to Nelson

Dylan and Melani are the perfect couple. They spent lot of time with our children in our kindergarten, doing numerous fun activities, playing music and dancing with the children. They spent two weeks with us. They presented a bracelet for each kid on Christmas Day celebration, which they only made while they were at our place. Dylan also helped us with the design of computer systems, networking for our new school. Dylan was also our Santa for the Christmas Day❤️. Melani was very good at everything she does. They worked incredibly hard over the time here, spending most of the time with the kids while they are at school, and working later after the kids leave the school on bracelets or preparation of new activities for next day. We played many board games and spend good time around dinner tables, having good conversations. The children will definitely miss them and ofcourse everyone at our home. We wish best of luck to this perfect couple.

This was my first Workaway experience, and it was the perfect place to start. Everything was great, and ma’am was very kind and supportive. If you love animals, this is truly one of the best places to volunteer. I hope to come back and volunteer here again in the future.

I can highly recommend Alex as a workaway host. Alex is a very respectful, kind and deeply caring person. He was my first contact and encounter in Australia, and he truly helped me with everything. From the very beginning, he made me feel welcome and supported. Alex shared so many helpful tips about life in Australia and how to find my way here. He has a very positive positive and gentle energy. During my stay, I went for walks with Shelby, his dog. Shelby is an incredibly loving, active and wonderful dog, and it was always a joy to spend time outside with her. Spending time with Shelby never felt like work at all — it was genuinely fun. What started as a workaway experience turned into a real friendship, and I’m very grateful for that. I can wholeheartedly recommend Alex to anyone considering staying with him.

Hoya is the best of the best. She can handle difficult work, like helping carry heavy objects or shovel snow. At the same time, she's very modest, rarely talkative, and always happy with everything. You couldn't wish for anything better. And everyone likes her.

I loved staying with Cole!! The rhythm of waking up, checking in and feeding the animals, the AMAZING meals Cole cooked, the cutest doggies (especially Lily)... I loved hearing Cole's stories and her obvious love for her own kids that I immediately felt like one of her own. Accommodation was very nice and clean, work was varied (weeding, house cleaning, animal care) and I'd easily come back:) thanks for everything Cole, take care 💕💕💕

Loved every second. Being and caring for the joeys and being in nature like that is a once in a lifetime experience I think everyone should do. My only downfall is that it is quite in the middle of no where so without a car it’s really hard to get around. But apart from that 10/10 experience.

I have been at Jen’s place for almost three weeks in November and the beginning of December and I‘m definitely grateful for my time there. I really liked that they were pretty easy going when it comes to when you work, you can manage your time yourself and you are trusted to be responsible and complete your hours on your own. So you can take any day of the week off which gives you a lot of flexibility. That being said, dinner was usually quite late. It feels a bit like the whole day is being delayed by a few hours, but I got used to that quickly. There was a variety of tasks to be done, so it never got boring, although a lot of my time was spent cutting blackberries. But even that gets sort of meditative after a while. Questions were usually answered very quickly, the WhatsApp group chat was EXTENSIVELY used on some days. XD Learning about baking with sourdough was interesting as well, I am definitely going to try that at home. Alannah is a very open child, she is usually full of energy and would love to spend time with you and tell you about Harry Potter when she is home. When I was there, they only had one dog, Otis and he is such a good boy, very cuddly and friendly. He was definitely one of my highlights of staying there. I wish I had gotten to know their new dog Daisy. I am sure, she is lovely as well. I got to know lots of new people, there were usually at least 5 other workaways around which was really nice. I went on a roadtrip with five of the others, so it is definitely a place where you can get to know new people. So all in all, I am sure I will remember this experience for a long time and I am grateful for all the new impressions. Thanks for having me!

It's 6 in the morning. Viola just left to the airport and my daughter and I are still sitting in the kitchen, crying. We'll miss her sooooo much. Viola gave us any reason to love her from hair to toes. It's incredible how she opened up for us, how she bonded with the kids, how she cared for each and everyone of us and how deeply we feel connected to her. She's reliable, easygoing, perfectly doing her tasks, open-hearted, open-minded - all in all an incredible woman. If you wanna host her: do it! Especially if you have kids. For our kids it was like having a new sister - she r e a l l y became part of our family. I hope our ways cross many many more times again in our lives. Viola- you'll always find a home here. A l w a y s! We love you! Bussi Baba!

We spent two weeks with Luca and Elle, two people who are able to make you feel like part of an evolving dream and give you a sense of family at every moment of the day, perfectly combining work and fun. Thanks to them, we discovered one of the most beautiful parts of Thailand.

Even if this was my first experience as a Workaway user, I think there are not many hosts as delightful as Rafa and Alaitz. They were always attentive to all my needs; they helped with my weekend plans, included me in many family and social plans, and were always very flexible. The main task is to take care of Laura, Sofia, and Martin, and sometimes they ask you to do other small tasks like hanging wet clothes. We had a lot of fun together, but be aware that, as with every ordinary kid, they don't always do what you expect them to do and you have to be patient and this is not your kind of experience if you don't love kids. I've tried to help as much as possible because they helped me much more than necessary, and I always felt like it wasn't enough. The house has all sorts of comforts and is located in a small town. Everything is very close: supermarket, shops, the kids' school, sports activities, bars and an outdoor gym. There's plenty of places to visit. Cádiz, Sevilla, Córdoba, and Faro (Portugal) are all pretty close. If you join the family during summer, you also have a lot of great beaches even closer. I can only say thank you to the whole family once again, and a special thank you also to Rafa's parents.

very good and unique experience with Coco! I really enjoyed the peace of the place and Coco and her friends are really kind and nice people. If you want a great Tasmanian experience or just a break from the cities it's the right place!
