Felix has been with us for two months this summer. He is a wonderful person, full of energy, fantasy and effort. If he gives you his word, be sure that he will keep it no matter what. He has been helping us with everything from house, kids, gardening, and in our private life. He is a fast worker and efficient. He likes challenges and he is very social. We would definitely recommend him as a volunteer. He is always welcome back. Thank you Felix for everything you have done for us. We will miss you!

A great stay ❣️ At first, I expected to stay for three weeks, but ended up staying for almost two months. Thank you, Roger and Nohemí, for accepting me as part of this family🏠 My volunteer duties were varied: installing a stove, woodworking, general maintenance, gardening, and several other things. But they always tried to make me feel comfortable with the tasks I'm good at, showing great kindness and tenderness. Volunteer duties are from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and you go at your own pace. They never impose a schedule, but if you work and do what they ask, there won't be any problems. 🧑🏼‍🔧 I shared the volunteer experience with another person, which made it more fun and easier to manage. The best part about the house is sharing time with the people who live there, all very different as well as beautiful. The energy of the place makes you feel comfortable from the start; everyone goes at their own pace, and with love and patience, everything works. It was a beautiful experience, and the people who coordinate the space took great care of it. The place is also located in the Montseney Natural Park ⛰️, which makes it even more magical. Thousands of hikes, fruits, mushrooms (when it's the season), and adventures await. I recommend coming here and leaving with a large group of people, like a family.❣️🌹❣️

Shannon shared our home for three weeks in August, very quickly becoming part of the family. She brings with her a rich tapestry of experiences that have shaped her thoughtful approach to both life and work. Her varied employment encounters, at home and abroad, along with her diverse academic pursuits, spoke to a quiet adaptability that we have seen firsthand on our farm. She approached each task with calm focus and a steady grace, contributing in a way that was deeply valued. Shannon’s international travels have broadened her outlook and deepened her connection to Irish heritage and culture. While in Sligo, she enjoyed exploring the locality, took part in the annual Heritage Week and enjoyed art, history and traditional music sessions, embracing the local spirit with enthusiasm. Whether tending to the garden, gathering seaweed, working with the sheep, foraging for blackberries, jam making or sharing her interests in wool processing, dyeing, spinning, and crocheting, deep respect for the environment guided all her work. Shannon was always eager to learn, extremely helpful, and our common connection exploring the land, sea, and mountains made her time with us here all the more special. We feel very fortunate to have shared this time with you and are grateful for the care and curiosity you brought to each day. Matilde was a pleasure to host, A lovely woman and person in general, kind hearted and always willing to help out. I give thanks for all the help she gave and you will not be mistaken by hosting her. I send lots of luck and love for more good workaway experiences in the future!! Joanna

Bee and Soy. They are two people that give kindness to the world. And we felt it when we visited. We helped out with some things, but since we where also tired from our previous journeys we took it a bit slower. And they understood our human need for rest. We are very thankful for this. They are wonderful people. We learned things we will remember for the rest our lives. We even got some fun homeworks. We hope to see them again some time.

It was a real pleasure to host you Margot. I felt very comfortable being with you and I liked that you also needed time for yourself. You are very conscientious , kind, curious, practical, creative and willing to go the extra mile all with a good heart and willingness to contribute and help out in any way you can. I like your light hearted spirit and sense of humour as well. Will be lucky hosts to have you stay with them and I hope that you come back again to stay with me. It has been an excellent expérience being there. The whole family, including the cats and the dogs was incredible. Juniper is a sweet, kind and beautiful person. I also enjoyed the personalities and the talks and walks with Martina and Antonio. All of them are really kind, nobody juges anybody. I felt like at home since the first evening. I had my own space and felt always free to or stay in my bedroom or join people to spend time together. I've learned a lot of things because of our conversations, I really enjoyed my time with them. The area is also beautiful, I loved the forest where I could bike, run and walk the dogs. Very close to Kaiserslautern, even by bike. About the work, everything was explained day by day, very well organized. Being there was a wonderful experience and I hope to meet them again!

My experience staying with Ahmad was extremely enjoyable. Upon my arrival, he quickly integrated me into the community of around 500 people by introducing me to his family, friends, and other members of the community who were very friendly and hospitable in all our interactions. Whether with Ahmad, or other members of the village, I enjoyed time in the village drinking tea and eating local dishes, going out into the desert, climbing the surrounding mountains, riding camels, and learning/improving my Arabic. In exchange for this experience, I helped Ahmad clean and prepare a house for workawayers and guests to stay, I assisted him perform various tasks around the village, I also assisted him update his online profiles, and finally, I helped Ahmad with his English. I recommend this project for anyone looking for a culturally immersive experience in the Jordanian desert

My stay with Gerda and Marcos was a truly exceptional experience. From the very first day I felt welcomed into their home and daily life. I learned so much in just a short time — from gardening and looking after the animals, to recognizing wild plants and being more conscious about food and the way we live. It was exactly what I was looking for: a place to disconnect from the city and reconnect with nature, myself, and others. Every day was rewarding, whether helping in the garden, feeding the sheep and chickens, or preparing wood for the season. The effort was always balanced with delicious home-cooked meals, inspiring conversations, yoga practice, and even swims in the river nearby. Also, I was lucky to join Gerda and Marcos in the mountains for hiking and climbing, which made my stay even more unforgettable. They have so much knowledge to share — about plants, nutrition, yoga, and also about their fascinating experiences as alpinists around the world. Gerda and Marcos are two very inspiring people, generous with their time and energy, and Luna, their shepherd dog, is the sweetest buddy for walks in nature. I’m very grateful for everything they shared with me, and I left with new skills, new perspectives, and memories I’ll carry with me always. Thank you so much, Gerda, Marcos, and Luna <3 I highly recommend this Workaway to anyone who loves nature, animals, and community life. My time with you was short but transformative, and I hope our paths will cross again soon!

Lauren and Corey stayed with us a few weeks and it was great having them. They are amazing and kind people, they always completed daily task very seriously, and were always happy to help for everything. Not to mention, it was always a pleasure getting to share dinner with them and show them around Cahuita. I would highly recommend welcoming them as workawayer if you get the chance, and we hope yo see them come back around to visit :)

I stayed two weeks in this piece of paradise. Terry & Michael welcomed me from day one with hospitality and generousity in their home. I enjoyed every day and every moment of my stay. The work was various such as, weeding demon - & asshole grass, cleaning and painting indoors on rainy days and building a road from scratch with rocks. Terry spoiled me with delicious dishes l, prepared with much love, that made my heart go boom. In my free time I explored their gigantic property and read two amazing books of theirs. Michael took me all the way up to their very own waterfall - thanks pal! For me it's always a pleasure to meet other vegans and enrich each other with experiences and perspectives. I hope to come back one day for long term volunteering or joining your community in my retirement. So see ya latest in 41 years! Mil gracias por Todo! 💚

J'ai passé un super séjour chez Najat et Nouredinne. Ce fut un plaisir de partager des moments avec eux, leurs familles et leurs amis. J’ai adoré être en compagnie compagnie de Najat et profiter de ces balades, qui étaient tout simplement incroyables. J’ai fait de super rencontres chez eux ☀️. Najat est une hôte exceptionnelle et adorable, et j’ai hâte de revenir.

Yushin is a very friendly and peaceful person who helped with our place for 3weeks😊 He has an adorable and easy-going personality. I guess most people like him. I'm happy to see him enjoying new culture and having interests many things. I look forward to seeing how he'll grow the next time we meet. Ganbatte~💪

Our one week with Julia and Kacper was an absolute delight. What more could a host ask for than to have workers who can anticipate and carry out diligently what needs to be done. Friendly, engaging and respectful, this young couple exceeded our expectations and we were sad to say good-bye. We wish them well in their future travels and endeavors.

Mika stayed in our place for 3weeks. She is highly motivated to do all activities. Work and learn quickly. punctually 👌 We are glad to see that she tired to communicate with our guests, students and other workawayers. That one of the most important passion in our place in order to socialize and encourage cultural exchange🌏 We wish her next career and journey will be successful Arigato~

We stayed with Ylva for a few days. The accommodation was as described, and it was in a great location in Narvik near the water. We helped with firewood, dishes, and some household tasks, and also spent time baking with the kids. For us, the expectations around hours of work and initiative didn’t match well with what we understood Workaway to be (about 4–5 hours/day), and overall, the expectations felt higher than we anticipated. The communication style also didn’t align well with us, which made things more difficult. Because of this, we decided to leave earlier than planned. We recommend that future Workawayers clarify expectations clearly in advance.

Helene stayed with us for two weeks. She is very dedicated, responsible with schedules, and versatile, as she easily adapted to the different activities required by the dynamics of the finca. She always showed a great attitude and willingness.

George was a great and attentive host. He communicates tasks clearly and was very helpful with recommending me cultural activities and learning opportunities in the region. Additionaly, he takes great care of keeping the jobs you'll do varied and interesting. I learned a lot about working with cattle amongst other things during my stay. I ended up only staying with George and Polly for 10 days but I feel like we accomplished quite a bit during that time.

I spent a week in July on the farm and I met the most amazing people there (other workawyers, the children, Tofu and Grace - the local volunteers-). It was a pure joy to work with animals and teach English and live like a local. The area has an incredible waterfall nearby and well located if you want to make a stop during traveling from South to North i(or opposite) in Vietnam. 🇻🇳
