Ayla n'est venue que quelques jours mais on a bien avancé sur les travaux en cours; bonne bricoleuse mais pas que ! Très intéressante aussi dans les discussions, son parcours de vie Dommage que tu craignes le froid mais bon vent à toi ;)

Avec Jutta c'était simple! Pas besoin de demander elle devance vos besoins, et sinon elle est enthousiaste :) Tellement bien qu'elle est revenue un peu plus tard pour continuer ce que l'on avait commencé et c'était toujours un plaisir les journées partagées! Elle est autonome, indépendante et très respectueuse des espaces Merci Jutta

John helped us with gardening during his stay. Although he stayed for less time than initially expected, he was a very open, friendly, and pleasant person to have around. Communication was easy, and we appreciated his positive attitude while he was here. He promised he would return to the Farm someday and we would be very glad to host him again :)

To me this was a 5-star Workaway experience! I ended up staying here for 9 weeks instead of 3 planned, because I simply loved it all: place, team, village, tasks, nature, mountains, river, food, and the owners — Ronen and Merav, who both are passionate and supportive. This place felt like home, and I felt really valued and appreciated. My tasks were mostly about kitchen and laundry, and both I enjoyed a lot. The center surely has its mission and serves it to its best. I lived in a comfortable room with my own bathroom, could use the facilities of the house and entire property. I would specifically mention the village and nature around — they are just magnificent, and the good part is that there's enough time to enjoy it while staying at the place. This position is fairly social because people from therapy groups are always around, you cross paths at the property and around the kitchen, so if you look for a deserted place in the middle of nowhere, this may be not the right choice. Other than that I totally recommend this experience! I surely left a piece of my heart there.

Ava was a lovely workawayer. She's easy to communicate with, friendly and personable. She needed to interact and connect with various people to help with the dogs at home and also to volunteer in the dog shelter and everybody found her really easy to communicate and work with. Her Spanish is far better than she has in her profile, which was also her handy. She's adaptable and dealt with some last minute situations and an emergency calmly, which is a super strength. I'd love to have Ava back and totally recommend her.

It is hard to actually put into words the joy it was to host Beccy. In the many years we have hosted through workaway Beccy stands out as the best of the best. She is warm, strong, capable, thoughtful, thorough, and shows initiative. Beccy fit into our home from day 1. She worked until any task was finished regardless of how many hours she had worked, and every job was completed to perfection and everything put away afterwards. Even after working Beccy just saw what needed to be done and would just get stuck into after meal clean up, hanging out washing, checking stock, you name it, as well as going for anywhere from a 5 to a 17km run. She is game to try anything, driving the quad bike, mixing concrete, mulching branches, painting, gardening, cleaning ... We enjoyed many cups of tea and long deep conversations. She even house sat when we had to go away for a few days we came home to a clean house, a yummy baked rhubarb loaf and a banana loaf, happy animals and the gardens watered. We truly miss all her help, cheer and beautiful company, and we are pretty sure the dogs and cats miss her every bit as much as we do. She truly feels like a member of our family. If you ever get a chance to host Beccy jump at it!!

We hosted Julia and Harry for three weeks during the olive harvest and enjoyed every minute of it! They are a wonderful couple, each bringing their own qualities and together creating a balanced dynamic. Their calm and positive nature was constant, allowing for genuine moments of connection and shared experience. Julia and Harry are hardworking and very capable, and easily handled both the nets and the long machines (lanara). They worked attentively, always aware of what was happening around them, supporting their teammates and contributing strongly to the overall rhythm of the harvest. Good-hearted and eager to engage, they enriched the shared time together through great conversations and a quality of presence. They brought an effortless team spirit that truly made everyone feel comfortable and included. We are very grateful for their presence this harvest, it truly made a difference, and we are thrilled we got to share this time with them. Thank you again, Julia and Harry, we wish you the best on your travels!

Sabrina is an incredibly generous, positive, and open-minded person who makes the time in Indonesia truly special. I had the chance to meet many of her friends and her family, which I really appreciated and which made my experience even more meaningful. I loved teaching the kids English and introducing them to new games, it was such a rewarding experience! Time flew by so quickly. I already miss this place and hope I can come back one day. Thank you so much for everything! Makasih ya!

This was our fifth workaway. Our one week in Ismailia was wonderful! Yaser and his brother Osama are so welcoming and fun to spend time with! It was such a rich cultural experience. The first 2 nights we were invited to weddings with them! We got to experience local food and history. We were invited to spend time with their family, friends and kids. We both left wishing we planned more than just a one week stay. Would highly recommend for anyone :)

I loved this Workaway!!! The academy is an incredible place to get involved. The children are so disciplined and respectful, stemming from their practice of martial arts. Teaching them was such a pleasure as they listen intently and have a desire to learn. Our hosts Alvin and Alice where a delight! Their passion is infectious and their outlook on martial arts as a tool for teaching and helping the kids get documented is inspiring. I have so much respect for them both. I was also lucky enough to be there at the same time as Bmax, a national MMA competition. I helped out staffing the event an even competed too!!! Watching the kids compete and excel, even winning many medals, was incredible to say the least! I had such a sense of pride for the kids I had only known for a short time. I was so sad to leave and I will definitely be returning!!!!! If you are someone who wants to make a difference, is not afraid of trying martial arts, playing uno, and playing more uno, then this is the place for you! Thank you so much to the Academy, Alvin, Alice and all the kids, I had a wonderful time and hope to return😁

Having Richard over was a blessing! He is kind, hard-working, humble and such a nice company! We miss him!!! We really appreciated his enthusiasm and interest in our project. He stayed with us at the Castle for 3 weeks during which he contributed to building a roof for our future tavern and planted close to a hundred trees! He is interested in many different things which makes it a pleasure to exchange during the day or over a nice meal. Thank you so much Richard for coming into our lives :)

Constance's stay here was exactly what I wish from the Workaway experience, meeting an adorable person, extremely friendly and full of good will, hard worker and trustful. Communication was very easy since the first message, she was always ready to help with initiative and autonomy. She will be always welcome back and I hope to see her again someday. A wonderful experience working with Charlie and Ross. They fitted into our house and routine perfectly, were easy to live with and were so helpful getting our unfinished projects done. Would have them back anytime. Had wonderful meals together and fun filled card nights together. There wonderful dog Fig was also a pleasure to have around.

It has been a true pleasure to share this time with Ayane. From the very beginning, she showed herself to be very respectful, pleasant, and always willing to help with whatever was needed. She has been a great support to our family, not only because of her involvement and sense of responsibility, but also because of her attitude: always kind, considerate, and respectful of our space and family dynamics. We sincerely recommend her and thank her from the heart for everything she has contributed to our family.

We stayed with Ian and Lucy for two weeks and it was a really special experience. We were warmly welcomed into Ian and Lucy’s home from the very first day. We were given our own room in their home with an ensuite. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean - a lovely space to rest in between working and socialising. Most working days were five hours long from 9am-2pm with a coffee break somewhere in the middle. This was flexible based on the work that needed to be done on that particular day, but work expectations were always fairly and clearly communicated. Work included cleaning the guest apartments, cleaning the pool, putting up doors, lawn mowing/edge cutting, cooking breakfast for guests, pruning grape vines, and other odd jobs. Instructions were always clear and either Ian or Lucy were always available to answer questions about what needed to be done. The work was varied and sometimes physical, so it’s a great opportunity for people who enjoy hands-on tasks and being part of a team. Communication was always clear and respectful. We always knew what was happening that day and felt trusted to get on with things. We also had plenty of downtime to relax and socialise, which made the stay really balanced. On our days off, Ian and Lucy gave us the opportunity to explore Puglia, generously offering to drive us to nearby public transport or accompanying us on day trips to surrounding towns. Puglia is a beautiful part of the world and it was really special to be able to explore some of it during our stay there. Meals were eaten together and were one of the best parts of the day thanks to the amazing food and great company around the table. We were often cooked for, though we chipped in where we could to help with meal preparation. On a couple of occasions we also made dinner ourselves for the family. Ian, Lucy, their daughter Freya, and all the dogs and cats of the Masseria made us feel like part of their family during our stay. They are wonderful people, always welcoming and up for a chat and a laugh. We were there with one other Workawayer from Scotland who was an amazing person too, hopefully a friend we will see again! We couldn’t recommend this Workaway experience more. It was a highlight of our trip made special by the people at the Masseria.

Nancy was an amazing WA she always wanted to do more. She has more energy than any volunteer that we had the chance to have here, her good vibe passes to others and she help us a lot with Capu and Dobby, cooked Capu's food, cleaned her own bedroom, cut off a lot of weed and it is amazing how quickly she addapted to Sumpango, the cold, sometimes the cold shower, etc. Dobby who became Nancy's best friend misses her as we also. Also she is a very good English teacher. She even hike acatenango Volcano! We hope that she finds a nice WA where she can share all her skills. Let the light of the universe guide your way dear Nancy, we hope to see you again.

La nostra esperienza é andata oltre ogni aspettativa. L'energia della scuola, del luogo, dei bimbi, delle insegnanti é stata meravigliosa. Accolti come famiglia e sentirci parte. Samuel ha svolta una parte incredibile in tutto questo. Ci ha guidati fin dal primo momento e ci ha messo a nostro agio sia nella scuola ma anche nella alloggio trovato. Per la colazione e la cena ci ha aperto le porte della sua casa facendoci immergere nella vita di una famiglia ugandese. Tutto é stato stupendo. Abbiamo potuto esprimerci e ci siamo sentiti coinvolti al 100%. Tutte e 3 le scuole sono state stupende. Anche il piccolo villaggio di Gomba é incredibile. Tutti ti salutano. Ti sorridono. Siamo stati circondati dalla natura. Grazie Samuel per averci permesso di vivere una esperienza indimenticabile. La porteremo nel nostro cuore ❤️
