I spent 10 days here with Robin and I had a great experience! The place is in the heart of Slovenian nature with an amazing forest next to the farm. The work was varius. I mainly split wood in the forest and then cut it into blocks with the circular saw, I cut grass in the blueberry fields and picked weeds. I had good feeling with other voluteers! I had very interesting talks with Robin and Leonora.

I stayed with Nate and Dei for 2 weeks at the end of March 2026. It was amazing!!!! They are both such amazing and kind people and their home is lovely! I always had everything I needed, they were very welcoming and accommodating. I had my own room and bathroom and we shared dinner together every night ❤️ The nature and mountains all around are so incredibly beautiful- like nothing I've ever seen before (I almost thought the pictures were fake). Their adorable baby girl is so sweet and very easy to care for!! She's such a happy baby and I'm so happy I had this experience with her!! I'd consider Nate and Dei to be great friends of mine and I hope I can visit them again!! I'd 1000% recommend coming here :) Goodbye Nate and Dei!! I hope you have the best time with your workaway experiences and you're welcome to visit me (wherever I am in the world)!! Keep in touch!! Thank you so much!!

Purtroppo, per la prima volta dopo tanti anni di workaway, devo scrivere una recensione negativa. Alma, molto giovane ed alla sua prima esperienza di workaway, è sicuramente una ragazza molto in gamba, ma veramente poco flessibile per quanto riguarda gli orari di lavoro e le varie mansioni. Avevamo stabilito la tipologia di lavoro nel dettaglio via mail, ma evidentemente, essendo la sua prima esperienza, aveva in mente qualcosa di diverso. E' andata via prima del tempo che avevamo programmato, ma in qualche modo mi sono sentita sollevata per questa sua decisione. Unfortunately, for the first time after many years of workaway, I have to write a negative review. Alma, very young and in her first workaway experience, is certainly a very capable girl, but really inflexible when it comes to work schedules and various tasks. We had established the type of work in detail via email, but evidently, being her first experience, she had something different in mind. She left before the time we had planned, but somehow I felt relieved by her decision.

I had a wonderful stay with Sarah and Ray for my first Workaway experience, and I couldn’t have hoped for better. I really enjoyed helping in the garden and in the shed, especially planting trees and seeing the difference after my contribution, which was very rewarding. Sarah and Ray are very kind, caring, and welcoming people, and I felt comfortable from the very beginning. It was a beautiful experience in Ireland that I would definitely recommend. Thank you again for everything!

Very nice experience at Pradesh house :) I was looking for a cultural/rural/authentic experience and I I felt fulfilled ! Thank you so much to welcome me even if the period was not easy with this international crisis ! As they were no guests at the moment, the volunteering tasks were mainly taking care of the house, doing the cleaning, and helping with the cooking (and learn at the same time 😉). I started early due to the hot weather ! Also sharing some yoga sessions :) Hope I help enough on that point ! Pradesh is really attentive and I really enjoyed sharing our life experience. He is really interested in learning about everything and that ended up to nice conversations ! The mom food is really good and fresh. Just noted that as it is living in a family, you also experience their way of eating. From my experience only, you can have the same food from the breakfast to the dinner. But it was really tasty and I will remember the sambol / The dosa / the curry / the chickpea roti ;) The house is convenient, the room could have been a little bit more clean but it is part of the job so that is ok ! Cold shower as mainly in Sri Lanka ! I recommend bringing earplugs, as there are chants every day from 5 a.m. for about an hour. Personally, since I had some, I wasn’t disturbed. Otherwise it is really calm ! Laxapana is a small village surrounded by a beautiful nature ! Pradesh brought me to the differents waterfalls as they are far from the place. So take time to enjoy this peaceful place with a very nice family :) Thank you again for everything and if I come back to Sri Lanka I will definitely cross by you Pradesh ;)

Kristina is a very kind person who loves working. Very social and independent too, she has been very committed to the tasks I proposed to her. It was a lovely experience and I would recommend her warmly! Thank you.

Joanna, Antonio and Massi are really the best hosts you can have. They make you feel part of the family and invite you to help with the things you are good at. The work that we did was some painting, weeding and also building tables :) They’re very flexible which was really nice. Even with Roel’s extremely difficult diet Joanna manage to have some amazing meals made. Also they showed us around the neighborhood, telling us more about all the villages and properties. We absolutely loved it, unforgettable experience and we will come back!

Alice is a very sweet person, respecful, considerate and very helpful. She came to stay with us for a week and helped me with cleaning, organizing and decluttering, she was really nice and sweet to our kids, even hand made them the cutes crochet toys. She made creps and very nice dalh. We connected really well and hope to see her again soon :) I really recommend having her as volunteer.

Flurina has been amazing helping us around the orchard. It included looking after three horses, 2 dogs and chooks. Flurina and Greg paired the back of tractor shed as well as a fence. Flurina has a great attitude and is always ready to help around. I could highly recommend Flurina. I wish Flurina all the best for her job back in Switzerland.

It was one of the best workaway experiences for me. The accommodation was modern and comfortable. Quite luxurious for a workaway actually, it even had a heated bed!! Perfect for the cold April days. There was a stunning little terrace with a lovely view and they have a huge pool. The couple were stellar hosts! Made sure I had plenty to eat. They cooked traditional English and Bulgarian food. Their neighbours gave them delicious homemade Rose wine and cheese. They had the cutest cats and dogs and a chicken and duck. The work was about 2-3hrs a day 6 days a week. Enjoyable gardening work and a bit of cleaning. I highly recommend it as an escape from busy life.

My workaway stay with Darway and Amy was amazing! From the start, he was great with communication, and even offered advice on how to navigate to his area. Everything in the photos / profile was very accurate which was great to see. I had my own spacious room (with AC in case it got too hot) and a bathroom. Having dinners together was always enjoyable as I was able to try their favorite nearby shops along with some delicious home cooking. Even though I was happy to entertain myself, when Darway had shorter days at work, he was gracious enough to show me around town and spend time together. I really enjoyed seeing the area from a local's perspective. We also shared a circuit workout and a short run together which was super fun. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Taiwan to venture outside of Taipei and see what Longtan, Taoyuan has to offer - If you're lucky, you may even be able to meet and stay with Darway and Amy, who are the most kind and wonderful people. Thank you both for inviting me into your home and making my trip to Taiwan so enjoyable - Even though we had such a short time together, I feel like we made a friendship that can last a lifetime. My stay here was a beautiful experience !!! Roza is a very kind person, takes the time to explain and show you what needs to be done. There are beautiful spots to walk around. with a car is better to get around but if you like to hike its also doable to the nearest towns! overall fantastic experience

Staying with Ann and her family was a real highlight of my trip. When Ann picked me up at the craft shop—barefoot, with a warm hug and a big smile—I felt welcome right away. Living together as a family and their way of life is truly inspiring, and everyone was very caring toward me. I was invited to take part in different aspects of their daily life whenever I felt like it, while also being given space and all the support I needed to explore the region on my own. I am really grateful I had the opportunity to meet these lovely people and experience the special space they have created.

Amazing family! The girls are so lovely, I miss them them already. So welcoming, felt like I was staying with family. There's some hefty gardening work to be done but Sheree will be digging in right alongside you. Couldn't recommend them more.

We had a great time at ha's farm. We had our own little bungalow which was nice. The work was easy and fairly split between the big group of volunteers (up to 20). We also were able to paint our bungalow which was an amazing experience. Also the time with the kids every Sunday has been a blessing. We will definitely come back again to this wholesome place! Manhad is a friendly, polite helper who tinkers and repairs with great attention to detail. His pleasant, positive nature makes him also a good conversationalist and companion.

Thankyou Bre for being our 1st Kiwi workaway You set the bar high even if it was just a breif stay. Bre is fantastic with children ! She tag teamed with another workaway to look after our girls so we could go to a wedding. And the verdict from the kids (and the other workaway) was "she is amazing" maybe my favourite one said my daughter. Shes also a whiz in the kitchen and got my bathroom sparking! Monika came to us last minute and im so glad we were able to make it work. She has this calmness to her that our house needed. Monika was amazing at her tasks. She transformed my garden and my kitchen and the kids were always learning new things from her. Matching family bracelets was def a highlight ! Guy and I even managed to make going to a wedding enjoyable by leaving the kids in capable hands of Monika and another workaway who stayed with us. Thankyou for being a part of our crazy life !
