I highly recommend Danilo as a volunteer. During his time at our hostel, he has been an incredible help in many ways. He always takes good care of the place, assists our guests with kindness, and is always willing to lend a hand whenever needed. One thing that stands out about him is his initiative—he often offers himself to help without even being asked. He is punctual, responsible, hardworking, and always carries a smile, creating a positive atmosphere for both guests and staff. He has contributed so much to our hostel, and his dedication and helpful attitude have made a real difference. Any host would be lucky to have him as a volunteer. Thank you Danilo for helping me here. Hope to see you again.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to Arianna. From her very first day, her enthusiasm for work and volunteering was truly inspiring. She went above and beyond her assigned duties by joining me to volunteer at a free children's camp. Arianna is a genuinely honest and sincere person who brings incredible positive energy wherever she goes. It was an absolute pleasure having you, Gina, and I truly hope to see you again in the future!

These 3 guys were sooo cool to have! They were lots of fun, super respectful and they absolutely helped us get through so much! I really hope you all have a great time with the rest of your travels and hope we meet again! Don't hesitate to meet them! My kids also really enjoyed their company and playing with them.

We had an amazing time with Michelle and Benjamin. They're fun, kind, responsible, with good energy and great ideas. We enjoyed their company, the stories about their life experiences and their country. Always up for new adventures, like hiking around or joining a random village party. We really enjoyed sharing stories, laughs, and everyday moments with them. They each bring something different, and it's wonderful to see how well they complement one another. We're grateful for the time we spent together and are sure many beautiful landscapes and experiences await them on their journey. We wish them all the best and hope to see them again somewhere down the road.

Franz is a very lovable young man. He always tried very hard to do everything right. No matter what we did, Franz was always enthusiastic. Whether we were building a large fire pit or repairing fences, Franz always tried to make everything perfect. It was a wonderful time with him, good conversations around the campfire or fun games; we always had a lot of fun. Thank you so much for all your great help. As I said before, this place always has a door open for you. Thank you and all the best for your future.

This was my first Workaway experience, and I honestly feel incredibly lucky to have had such an amazing stay! Marsh and Ava are both very kind, easy-going, and extremely intelligent people. Marsh has in-depth knowledge of the Blue Mountains, which greatly enhanced my visit. His knowledge of Australian landscapes and history is amazing, and I am very grateful for all he taught me during my week’s stay. Ava made me feel very welcome in her home, and I really enjoyed the conversations I had with her about her work and her own experiences travelling. She prepared lovely meals for me throughout my stay, which honestly made me feel like I was being looked after too well. The work is outdoors and is physical, but you are given a more than fair workload. I spent my time working in their garden, splitting firewood and raking leaves. I never felt pressure on me to do anything but my best. I always felt like a guest at Marsh and Ava’s, never their worker. I will remember my time in the Blue Mountains as a lovely chapter during my travels in Australia. If you are looking for a Workaway in the Blue Mountains, I can highly recommend staying at Marsh and Ava’s place!

Margo was a wonderful workawayer to host. She fitted in beautifully, was always polite, friendly, and easy to get along with. Every task she was given was completed to perfection and with great care. I can highly recommend her, wish her all the very best for the future, and would welcome her back anytime.

I volunteered for one week in the hacienda and I had an amazing time! it felt like being at a summer camp because we were so many volunteers cooking together, making bonfires, playing cards and just hanging out in the sun. You can go sing in the music room, hang out with the baby alpacas and every Tuesday is pizza and cocktail night. Work is very chill as a part time volunteer (9 h per week) and there is a kind of work for every taste - whether you like hard physical work or are more into more relaxed tasks. All in all the volunteering here is a very different experience compared to other places I've tried. New people come and go every day which you get very used to - so don't feel bad if people are not giving you the welcome you might have expected. Luis has really managed to make everything run smoothly and I would recommend going to the hacienda to everyone who likes dogs and a rustic lifestyle! Oh and if you want to go on tours Luis is very helpful when it comes to arranging. I went on the 7 lakes hike and it was great!

Alix and Paul stayed with us for two weeks and brought such a good energy!!(L) Exactly on that moment we planned to plant one hectare of cacao and theyve been so amazing in helping. Besides the working hours we spend a lot of time with them and they are really lovely, nice people. I would definitely recommend them!

🇮🇷 I welcomed Elmira and Mohammad from Iran at the Bolu Bus Terminal on 31 May 2026, and yesterday I bid them farewell at Ankara Airport. 🌿✈️ During their stay at Kıvrak Walnut Garden, they worked with great dedication and enthusiasm. Through gardening, daily life, and cultural exchange, they made wonderful contributions to our lives. As a hardworking, respectful, adaptable, and helpful couple, I can wholeheartedly recommend them. Together, we shared the natural beauty of Kıbrıscık, the simplicity of village life, and its rich cultural heritage. They spoke Persian, and we spoke Turkish; thanks to Google Translate, we often understood each other and once again realized that the true language of friendship is sincerity. 🌍❤️ Safe travels, Elmira and Mohammad. Michelle and Nils were a pleasure to have on the farm..Proactive and effective workers. My cupboards and drawers were all tidied up and jobs were done before we asked them to do them. Would recommend them for future hosts, Good English and Michelle particularly has a good sense of humour. Nils is the quiet one but also a very good worker.

JoAnn was a bright and friendly friend to the project during her stay. she helped with tasks related to the wildlife sanctuary and did so with responsibility, high energy and always with a huge smile and positive vibration...she also helped with the horses which is a great plus and was a joy to have around during our conversations and group gatherings...JoAnn also helped with some computer related design tasks while mari was designing her puma cages. She is always welcome to come back to work and dance together!!

Nate stay with us for around 2 weeks in Chumphon. He was extremely helpful in everything and helped much more than we could have ever expected. He made many good friends in the village and the locals really miss his great attitude and easy going fun nature. He helped us with even some IT issues such as setting up a bookings.com site. his communications skills are excellent with young and old. Would love to have him back in the future and will keep in touch. Nate is very reasonable and his experience for such a young person are large. I had a truly wonderful stay with this family and cannot recommend them enough. From the moment I arrived, they were incredibly loving and welcoming, making me feel like a part of the home right away. The daily routine was very manageable and easy to get into. The main responsibilities are driving the girls to and from school and spending time chatting with them over dinner, which was always a pleasure. They are incredibly polite, friendly, and great company. And of course, I can’t forget Arwen! She is a sweetheart of a dog and her high energy always brought a smile to my face. My experience here was fantastic, and I already have plans to return for a longer stay in the future. If you have the chance to volunteer with this family, do not hesitate!

Paula and Gonzalo were great to have stay and help us in the house and garden. They did a great job in whatever they did. They stayed some days longer to feed and dogs cats and chickens so we could go to a memorial for death of my brother. Much appreciated We wish them well and always welcome back.

I loved staying at this farm in Hungary. A beautiful house, lovely family, genuinely welcoming vibes and a very interesting language. You can ride forever in stunning countryside. I started the young horse, Neo, a huge sport horse/draft cross while I was there. I have very fond memories of this experience.

Juan et Merel nous ont très vite accueilli dans leur famille. Nous avons pu partager des moments agréables avec eux et leurs enfants comme aller à la piscine, aller manger dans la ville la plus proche ou encore assister à une fête locale. Nous avons apprécié le fait d’avoir un cabanon indépendant. Rustique mais pratique avec une cuisine bien équipée et en pleine nature. Nous avons eu la chance de profiter de leur magnifique réserve naturelle, notamment de la rivière et la splendide cascade, mais aussi d’observer les nombreux oiseaux et des orages incroyables ! Notre travail fut de planter du cacao avec les fermiers en charge de la plantation. Travail assez physique mais le process sur le cacao était intéressant. Merci à eu pour leur accueil et cette expérience marquante. — Juan and Merel welcomed us into their family very quickly. We were able to share some lovely moments with them and their children, such as going to the swimming pool, eating in the nearest town, and attending a local feria. We appreciated having our own separate cabin. Rustic but practical, with a well-equipped kitchen, and surrounded by nature. We were lucky enough to enjoy their magnificent nature reserve, especially the river and the splendid waterfall, as well as observing the many birds and witnessing incredible thunderstorms! Our work involved planting cacao with the farmers in charge of the plantation. It was quite physical work, but the cacao process was interesting. Thank you to them for their hospitality and this memorable experience.

Seppe stayed with us for about 10 days and was a legend with the weed eater! Track maintenance and tree release were the main jobs and he was excellent. We went to the beach a couple of times and he was easy company. Highly recommended!

Maria Sofia and Daian were great Workawayers! They stayed for about 10 days to house-sit and look after our Yorkshire Terrier, Jimmy. The house was in perfect shape when we returned, no issues at all and Jimmy absolutely loved them. Trustworthy, responsible, and easy to communicate with.

Courtney stayed with us for about 10 days and was excellent company and very social with other guests. No job was too hard, there was a combination of track clearing and tree maintenance work, including getting rid of some invasive weeds. Courtney is super-friendly and welcome back anytime!
