Beschreibung
Help with a variety of building , gardening and hostel maintenance at our beautiful and sunny place in South West Macedonia.
We're situated just 8km from the lake town of Ohrid, in a peaceful neighbourhood called Lagadin. As the tourist industry is beginning to boom in Macedonia, we're in need of a lot of help renovating our large plot of land to welcome our wonderful guests to the area.
Currently we have 20 beds available, including both dorm and private accommodation. We're undergoing the massive project of adding 3 more private rooms along with the usual garden maintenance and looking after guests.
The busiest season is fast approaching, and we are in need of 4-5 volunteers as soon as possible! Much of the work involves heavy lifting and work outdoors, such as moving earth for garden landscaping and carrying building materials. If you're keen to pick up some building skills, or think you can teach us a thing or two, then get in touch!
As mentioned we also need help with hostel maintenance, which includes cleaning/tidying, laundry, accommodating our guests etc. This is a great opportunity for a prospective host/hostess, as we have some fantastic guests in a very pleasant environment.
In your free time you can enjoy the endless fruits of Ohrid and the surrounding area. Adventure sports like climbing, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking and more draw people from far and wide. The lake also gives visitors a chance to sit back with a frosty beer (or rakija) and escape the overwhelming stresses of city living. More and more people are recognising all that Ohrid has to offer. Take the chance this Summer and come to our hostel! We'll have a drink waiting.

Unterkunft
We offer volunteers either a bed in one of our 4-5 person dorm rooms, or space and equipment to camp for those who prefer to sleep outdoors.
The minimum wage here in Macedonia is not very high but we can offer our volunteers a monetary payment of 2 euro an hour for and hours worked as well as access to food staples within the kitchen.
Of course the rakija and wine are also provided ;) -

A simple Google search will show you just how much there is to do here. The bus into Ohrid takes just 10 minutes by bus (30 cent) or 20+ minutes by bike (available for free here). In the other direction Galicica national park is right on your doorstep. The beach is just down the road so you can enjoy a swim every day.
