  Hello, we are a queer family, Thiago, Baco and our children Arumã (8 years old), Sebastiana (4 years old) and Mar (10 months old)
  
  We are building our gardens and house in the middle of the Atlantic forest, with our own hands and materials that the land provides - Lugar Abya Yala - decolonial queer space for exchanging knowledge - agroecology - bioconstruction - arts - care for children and all beings.
  
  Currently, our routine, our activities, focus on taking care of children, ourselves, the earth, following the flows of nature, the moons, the seasons.
  
  Our space is a proposal for a radical encounter with ourselves and the earth, a reconnection with the natural being. To be here, you need to be open to the deconstruction of urban and capitalist patterns of being in the world. Being open to the radicality of nature, of animals, of what we are taught as hostile, wild, dirty, wrong. We are here to question and share these questions with those who come to us so that together we can build new ways of being ethical people in the world.
  
  We drink water directly from the spring, cook our food on a wood stove (which heats our bath water), build our walls with clay and straw, plant our food, compost our waste, produce our medicine and household cleaning products, along with bathing in rivers and waterfalls, playing with the children, surfing and climbing, and hiking in the forest.
  
  All of this only makes sense if shared. That's why our work today also involves welcoming volunteers and friends who want to join our project, share knowledge and help this project to flourish.

  Estamos construindo nossos jardins e casa em meio à mata atlântica, com nossas próprias mãos e materiais que a terra provê - Lugar Abya Yala - espaço queer decolonial de trocas de saberes - agroecologia - bioconstrução - artes - cuidado das crianças e de todos os seres.
  
  Atualmente nossa rotina, nosso fazer, se concentra em cuidar das crianças, de nós mesmes, da terra, seguindo os fluxos da natureza, as luas, as estações.
  
  Nosso espaço é uma proposta de encontro radical com nós mesmes e a terra, uma reconexão com o ser natural. Para estar aqui, é necessário estar aberte para a desconstrução de padrões urbanos e capitalistas de se estar no mundo. Estar aberte à radicalidade da natureza, dos animais, daquilo que nos é ensinado como hostil, selvagem, sujo, errado. Estamos aqui para questionar, e compartilhar com quem chega esses questionamentos para juntes construirmos novas maneiras de sermos pessoas éticas no mundo.
  
  Bebemos água diretamente da nascente, cozinhamos nossa comida no fogão à lenha (que esquenta a água do banho), construimos nossas paredes com barro e palha, plantamos nosso alimento, compostamos nossos resíduos, produzimos nosso remédio e produtos de limpeza da casa, juntamente de banhos de rio e cachoeira, de brincadeiras com as crianças, surf e escalada, trilhas na mata.
  
  Tudo isso só faz sentido se compartilhado. Por isso também nosso fazer hoje envolve receber voluntaries e amigues que desejam somar com nosso projeto, compartilhar saberes e ajudar esse projeto a florescer.

  Arbeit

  At this time we need people who are especially interested in:
  - syntropic agriculture management
  - taking care of children and the house
  - bioconstruction and construction with clay
  
  About the management of the site: involves heavy work such as pruning, breaking down embankments, maintaining ditches, clearing weeds, digging, breaking soil, treading clay, planting, producing humus, harvesting and processing food, building new structures.
  
  About the children: Teaching new skills, playing, taking care of basic needs, going for walks and giving them full attention for a few hours.
  
  About the house: keeping the house clean and organized, organizing cupboards, washing dishes, drying dishes, putting away dishes, keeping the bathroom clean (removing the bucket from the dry toilet daily), taking care of the compost and helping in the kitchen.
  
  We are surrounded by a beautiful and majestic forest that requires attention, there are all kinds of animals, come prepared to contemplate but also to respect all its beings.
  
  Everyone's safety is their own responsibility. Equipment such as long rubber boots (galoshes) are necessary in our region, as well as long clothing and socks to protect against mosquitoes.
  
  At this time, we cannot provide food (and one of the goals of volunteering is to increase food production to provide food in the future).
  
  So we offer two options: the volunteer can buy their own food or they can make a weekly contribution and we will go to the market and the fair. If they buy their own food, we can do it together when we go to the city to do the fair. Here, we only eat vegetarian food and ask that people do not bring ultra-processed foods. Volunteers have a separate kitchen and are responsible for preparing their own meals.

  Neste momento precisamos de pessoas que estejam especialmente interessadas em:

  Sobre o manejo do sítio: envolve trabalho pesado como podas, quebra de barranco, manutenção de valas, roçar o mato, cavar, quebrar terra, pisar barro, plantar, produzir húmus, colher e processar alimentos, construir novas estruturas.
  
  Sobre as crianças: Ensinar novas habilidades, brincar, cuidar das necessidades básicas, passear e dar atenção total por algumas horas.
  
  Sobre a casa: manter a casa limpa e organizada, organizar armários, lavar a louça, secar a louça, guardar a louça, manter o banheiro limpo (retirar diariamente o balde do banheiro seco), cuidar da compostagem e ajudar na cozinha.
  
  Estamos rodeados por uma bela e majestosa floresta que requer atenção, existem todos os tipos de animais, venha preparado para contemplar mas também para respeitar todos os seus seres.
  A segurança de cada um é feita em auto-responsabilidade, equipamentos como botas longas de borracha (galochas) são necessários na nossa região, e roupas e meias compridas para proteção contra mosquitos.
  
  Neste momento não podemos fornecer alimentos (e um dos objetivos do voluntariado é aumentar a produção de alimentos para fornecer alimentos no futuro).

  Unterkunft

  Volunteers stay in a dome, completely separate from our house, with an open bathroom and kitchen and no hot shower. Inside the dome is the bedroom, which is shared, with 1 double bed and 1 double mattress on the floor. The house is in direct contact with nature, with many plants around that attract insects and many birds, come with an open mind to interact with nature, both with butterflies and mosquitoes!

  Os voluntários ficam em um domo, completamente separada da nossa casa, com banheiro e cozinha abertos e sem banho quente.
  Dentro do domo está o quarto, que é compartilhado, com 1 cama de casal e 1 colchão de casal no chão.
  
  A casa está em contato direto com a natureza, com muitas plantas ao redor que atraem insetos e muitos pássaros, venha com a mente aberta para interagir com a natureza, tanto com borboletas quanto com mosquitos!

  Being here means being in contact with the exuberance of nature. Free time is time to explore and be amazed by the beauty of this place. The Sertão de Ubatumirim has several rivers and waterfalls and a breathtaking forest. We are close to the highway that takes us to several paradisiacal beaches. The municipal bus is the best means of transportation and stops just a few meters from the house, but we also usually give and receive rides.

  Estar aqui é estar em contato com a exuberância da natureza. Tempo livre é tempo para explorar e se surpreender com a beleza deste lugar. O Sertão de Ubatumirim possui vários rios e cachoeiras e uma floresta de tirar o fôlego. Estamos perto da autoestrada que nos leva a diversas praias paradisíacas. O ônibus municipal é o melhor meio de transporte e para a poucos metros da casa, mas também costumamos dar e receber caronas.
