Where to begin...I have only been with this sweet family for two weeks and already it feels like home. From the moment I arrived, their warmth and compassion made it easy to relax and enjoy my stay. … read more energy never stops, and his laugh is absolutely infectious - I already can feel the pangs of missing him when I'll have to say goodbye. Antonio and Antonella do everything they can to create a positive environment for each volunteer - taking real time for everything from weekend trip planning to life and travel advice. They are such a happy family it's impossible not to feel the joy spreading out around them. There is plenty of free time as well, Iaky is at school from 9-4, and after a small, easy bit of help with household work in the mornings, you are free until Iaky is done with school, and then again each evening, though dinner together is always nice. I can't recommend them enough - a truly kind and loving family that anyone would be lucky to spend time with. He goes to school during the morning, so you work in the afternoon, and then you have all of the
… read more mornings, evenings, and weekends to explore the beauty of Genova. It's SO easy to go to other areas of Genoa, and even cities like Turin, Milan etc. There are beaches close by to, with sand and beautiful views.
I've had a fantastic month living in Genova with this family, and I wish I could have stayed longer!
