We have a family run cow calf operation. hoping to add in a fruit tree u pick in addition to our large garden. we are located on the top of the Beatton river in the peace river region, we try to harvest all our own feed for the cattle. we run and maintain all our own equipment.Its the most beautiful place to run cattle.We have a vary large variety of tasks on this farm, from calving to branding, seeding ,harvesting and in maintaining this farm theres never a dull moment. we are very involved in the 4-h program and take great pride in seeing our cattle perform well.
We have our own sawmill and enjoy harvesting our own wood and creating useful buildings, sheds, anything the farm needs.

We feel due to our variety of tasks here, anyone can benefit by fine tuning a skill they have or learning a new skill, we feel we can provide a very realistic experience regarding farming. we also enjoy teaching people about our operation, we have a large garden with fruit trees as well so there’s many opportunities to learn many skills here.

Arbeit
We would like to have help with calving, general equipment maintenance, fencing and possibly building cabins, moving processing and working cattle, we use horses and dogs when needed and quads most of the time.
This person needs to be willing to work strange hours, due to calving schedules the cows decide when we work, preferred to have someone with some experience with animals. We are willing to train on equipment and develop skills around the animals. The biggest request is that you have a willing and positive attitude, be open minded to learning many different things.
Due to our situation we pay wages on a day rate, as per experience as well. You must be experienced to apply.

We have a large spare room in our house with access to our spare bathroom. We also have 1 bedroom cabin that is very nice but is more comfortable in the spring and summer months. All meals will be provided and shared with our family, We try to grow and raise all our own food.

Our closest city has a movie theater and a swimming pool, many shopping opertunities.
