Beschreibung
We are now looking for talented artists (sculptors, illustrators, musicians, writers and others) interested in coming to Cabo Polonio and doing an art residency at our hostel.
Cabo Polonio is a natural paradise and preserved area in Uruguay habited for only fifty people and visited for thousands of travelers every year.
We want to invite artists, each from a different art medium, to come stay and live with us enjoying the possibility to experience Cabo Polonio at its best, creating art together. We want the hostel and our guests to feed out of these artists’ creative vibes and good work. We are also searching for people with an special interest in preserving this place and looking for creative ideas related to bioconstruction, biodynamics, permaculture and biorenewal art.
We wish our hostel to be a place where people can feel good and connect with nature, so we do our best to create a flowing atmosphere with a clean and relaxed environment.
We do our best to recycle, reduce, reuse and create ecologic solutions. We also have a small garden growing some veggies and greens.
We believe in working mindfully, focusing on work, being present and working with love and care.

Ahora estamos buscando artistas talentosos (escultores, ilustradores, músicos, escritores y otros) interesados en venir a Cabo Polonio y hacer una residencia de arte en nuestro albergue.
Cabo Polonio es un paraíso natural y una zona preservada en Uruguay habitada por solo cincuenta personas y visitada por miles de viajeros cada año.
Queremos invitar a artistas, cada uno de un medio de arte diferente, a venir y vivir con nosotros disfrutando de la posibilidad de experimentar Cabo Polonio en su mejor momento, creando arte juntos. Queremos que el hostel y nuestros invitados se alimenten de las vibraciones creativas y el buen trabajo de estos artistas. También estamos buscando personas con un interés especial en preservar este lugar y buscar ideas creativas relacionadas con la bioconstrucción, la biodinámica, la permacultura y el arte de la biorenovación.
Deseamos que este sea un lugar donde las personas puedan sentirse bien y conectarse con la naturaleza, por lo que hacemos nuestro mejor esfuerzo para crear una atmósfera fluida con un entorno limpio y relajado.
Hacemos nuestro mejor esfuerzo para reciclar, reducir, reutilizar y crear soluciones ecológicas. También tenemos un pequeño jardín donde crecen algunas verduras y hierbas.
Creemos en trabajar de manera consciente, enfocándonos en el trabajo, estar presentes y trabajar con amor y cuidado.

The artists-volunteers will benefit creatively by experiencing the astonishing beauty of this natural park. The lack of roads, cars, public lights, or big shops makes Cabo Polonio a magical community surrounded by dunes, sea life, sweet water, the atlantic ocean and a huge open sky. Moreover, this place has lots of natural resources and materials to create art from such as wood, clay, sand, stones, and more importantly, recycle materials to explore biorenewal art.

Los artistas voluntarios se beneficiarán creativamente al experimentar la asombrosa belleza de este parque natural. La falta de carreteras, automóviles, luces públicas o grandes tiendas hace de Cabo Polonio una comunidad mágica rodeada de dunas, vida marina, agua dulce, el océano Atlántico y un gran cielo abierto. Además, este lugar tiene muchos recursos naturales y materiales para crear arte, como madera, arcilla, arena, caracoles, fósiles, piedras, cristales y, lo que es más importante, reciclar materiales para explorar el arte de la biorenovación.

Firstly and more important is cleaning! The place is small but we want it to be shining. Other tasks would include making beds, taking care of the recycling, gardening, dealing with guests and some general maintenance (building things or repairs). Moreover, art projects, painting, drawing, making signs, etc...
There is some flexibility depending on the volunteers experience and abilities.

¡Lo primero y más importante es limpiar! El lugar es pequeño pero queremos que brille. Otras tareas incluirían hacer camas, cuidar el reciclaje, jardinería, lidiar con huéspedes y algo de mantenimiento general (cosas de construcción o reparaciones). Además, proyectos de arte, pintura, dibujo, realización de carteles, etc.
Existe cierta flexibilidad según la experiencia y las habilidades de los voluntarios.

The volunteers will have their own room with bunk beds and three meals per day. We provide with clean bed sheets, covers, blankets, and towels.

We are in the center of Cabo Polonio and 20 meters away from the nearest beach. We are energetically auto-sustainable based exclusively in wind and solar power. We grow all kinds of veggies as well as other herbs.
