First of all, a Thank you for looking at my profile. I would say I'm a well traveled guy, i'm originally from Viña del mar a coastal city in Chile, then after some time living and working abroad , decided to settle in the chilean mountains , especifically in
Valle Las Trancas, close to Nevados de Chillán , in the bio bio region, to start working on my life project. This is the Perfect place to enjoy Snowboarding , which Is one of my passions for more than 20 years. Also you can enjoy outdoors the rest of the year, as there is world class trekking and other outdoor activities around the area .. I consider myself very chill and open minded, i\'ve travelled a lot around the world ( more than 50 countries) and love simple and sustainable living. I get a lot of inspiration on the tiny house movement /living off the grid, and i 'm always trying to develop New projects with renewables energies and construction... The Lodge is located in El Valle Las Trancas, a beautiful place surounded by mountains ,very close to a ski area. I only have 2 cabins /rooms for now, and operate 100 % Off the grid with renewables energies .(Solar and thermal energies). i'm Hotelier and know the business hands down.. I've worked in many Hotels , restaurants and cruise ships around the world, so i'd like to follow the standard that i'm expecting to offer to the guests. I 'm flexible with the lenght of the stay, and can be arrange in order of your travel needs or the season. ..I 'm looking for independents, enthutiastic people that have positive attitude. There is pure nature ,landscapes, and beautifull clear skies at nights. If you enjoy nature , outdoor Sports , running, fitness, Trekking, skiing , snowboarding , whatching the stars in one of the clearest skies un Chile ,this place will find you perfect.. I enjoy to workout almost everyday to keep myself strong for the snowboarding season,there is a home gym with the enough equipment to get fit ,i can give info and tips about training and nutrition . I'm really involved in my business, doing mostly everything around here, from reservations , shopping,housekeeping, maintenance and construction ,etc. so help is always welcome. i will show you how the job has to be done.. .
The mininum stay in one week, and Max one month. I can speak fluent English and French, and also some portuguese beside spanish being my mother . Looking forward to hear from you!

Travellers can learn about the renewables energies, and how it is posible to live, and develop tourism off the grid, just from the Sun! You will be able to enjoy the area, there is great trekkings around . Ski area with bike park during the summer.Im about 1.4k from the main road , and the bus station Is right outside the road, anyway Is really Easy and safe to move around hitchhiking👍
in las trancas there is some shops ,minimarkets and some bars and Is a really nice and active mountain town, especially in winter and summer seasons .
Arbeit
I have Two cabins fo rent so help can include some cleaning , general help around the place, small building proyects.
Winter shoveling snow , take care of the woodburners and hottubs etc I'm pretty much always around,working as well, and open to help with whatever Is needed.

Unterkunft
At the moment, accomodation Is in one of the rental cabins cabins, as i finish a new place for volunteers. with 3 rooms rooms and fully equipped,big deck to whatch the stars or enjoy the sun , you Will have a private room.Satelite TV to for movies..There is no WiFi here , so if you need internet acces, i suggest to buy a prepaid chilean Sim card Wom and Movistar works great with 4G.
Food for breakfast And one extra meal Will be provided for the workdays (self cater) then you Will have to look up after your meals for the rest of the day

Located in Valle Las trancas, surrounded by a beautifull natural scenary, one hour from chillan /easy acces from Santiago (bus,train) nilahue has Direct bus from Santiago is about 5 hours, and from Chillán rem buses has a daily bus schedules until 6 pm, and it Is about one hour trip

Yu was the first workaayer here at the lodge, despite wehad the worse snow season in years , we managed ti have good days at the mountain, Yu was really helpfull always keen to help in whatever help was needed, helping in the kitchen , serving the food,playin and feeding the dogs and even in slow days helping with painting jobs.she has… read more
