What a lovely experience in beautiful area in Alsace!! I've been doing work away quite a lot but it was one of My BEST work away experience!! As soon as I arrived, they welcomed me warmly and made me feel right at home. They are living in beautiful area in France and they introduced me lots of history, local food wine, architecture and so on!!

They are both really friendly and super open-minded. That made me feel comfortable!!
My favorite time was playing cards game after dinner. (I think we played too much during my stay though haha) They introduced me lots of table games and I enjoyed so much! We actually laughed a lot!!!
When it comes to work, it was not hard at all! I mostly did cleaning and gardening. I also cooked sushi one time. They gave me so much hospitality, and I even felt guilty just doing simple tasks every day. ( They gave me the best hospitality you could imagine!!)
Every moments I spend with them are my treasure.
To future work awayers, I'm so jealous of you to spend amazing time with Françoise and Rémy!! Hundreds percent recommended!!!

… read more about sharing theirs. We visited the Haut-Rhin region, a part of the Alsace wine route, Basel and even a bit of Germany. Historical and cultural facts, architecture, culinary experiences and wine discoveries packed these (too few) days I spent in their company.
It was so easy to become part of their daily life. I immediately felt welcomed and comfortable in their home.

Eating is a group occasion and a lovely way to get to know each other, just chatting with an aperitif over Francoise's delicious cooking. Come with an open mind to learn about the history of the area, Alsatian specialities and new wines! In particular I loved finding out the stories of the local area and what this meant to them, their families and the Alsatian culture. I cannot imagine a better way to experience an area than through the eyes of local people who are passionate about it. I thank them both for giving me such amazing experiences and looking for those little things they knew I would enjoy (yes, even after the first evening!) I lost count of the number of times we switched countries and their language abilities are captivating!
The work was enjoyable and satisfying - hedge trimming, weeding and general help in the house and garden.

Nevertheless I was able to accomplish some work in the garden, and helped with housework. … read more all the weekends that we had togheter to enjoy some good places in Alsace, hosted by Remy presenting the history of Mulhouse, and Françoise always making the times better teaching me about the winery world.
We also had a good immersion in the car's world, visiting a huge museum very rich in history, we went to a Bugatti festival at the brand's city, Molsheim. And a particular moment taking a ride inside a Maserati and a Ferrari. That was awesome!
They took me also to Germany and Switzerland. In Germany we visited Freyburg, the city was amazing, with the good food and drinks at the market, and a good view by the montains. In Switzerland I could understand a little bit more the
interesting way of concepting a city, visiting some very important places, like the former Greek city. And after traveling around this places, I really would like to say thank you very much, for my birthday, this was the cherry on the pie. Thank you!
At their house I good help at some good taskes on the garden, enjoying while the weather made already good. Inside the house I made some smalls repairs. In the end of all, it was definitely not hard, as they always keep everything very fine!
Françoise is very good in the kitchen, cooking really well as a good Alsacienne! She made me taste the better of them kitchen, always enjoying the moments with a good talk that brings me enlightening thoughts.

Remy was very humorous and nice. He is good at history. So we had a history night to know about Alsace. And when we went to Basel, Frieburg and some villages on the wine route in Alsace, he guided us very well. He explained history of the place and some stories related an architecture and status. It was very interesting. Although, he was very busy to work, he was willing to share his precious time for us..
We usually did gardening such as cutting hedge, cleaning garden and arranging the trees, and helped something which they need. It wasn’t difficult to do. Because we could do everything whatever they wanted. We didn’t have some knowledge and experiences so much related gardening nevertheless,
If we didn’t have this opportunity, we would have never discovered this place. We were totally soaked up the atmosphere in Alsace, and felt like that we were Alsaciens. There is no word how much we appreciate to Francoise and Remy. It is not enough to say thank you for their kindness and making an effort. We just hope that they also enjoyed for the last two weeks with us.
