  About me.
  Hi, I am Marijke. Three years ago I bought a house with 2 ha of arable land and a stunning open view. I have renovated the house but only use it when I have family or friends over. My 3 dogs and I live in a tiny house on the same plot. I made meadows for my 3 alpacas, 2 mini donkeys and 3 chickens. There’s also a flower meadow, a vegetable garden and a greenhouse as I try to have a maximum of self-sufficiency.
  I’m an avid reader and have lots of books (most in English) on food forests, vegetable gardens, permaculture, psychology, non-duality, dogs, cookbooks etc. I speak fluent Dutch, French and English and am intermediate in German and beginner in Spanish and Italian.
  
  Help wanted.
  On the last 8000 m2 I am starting a food forest on the principles of permaculture and syntropic agroforestry. I have been preparing the soil and have made 3 swales to keep the water on the plot. Now, with the help of Anthony, a workawayer, we have planted 1200 trees and shrubs. I can certainly use some help with maintaining the food forest and caring for the animals. Expect to work 4 or 5 hours, 5 days a week (depending on the needs - I am flexible).
  
  Offer.
  You will be living in the house, so you’ll have a lot of privacy. I can offer you a room with a view , a kitchen, a living room, a dining room, a bath and a shower.
  Meals are shared but you can also cook in the house if you like.
  
  Area.
  You can make beautiful walks or bike rides in the surroundings. The nearest town is Tournai (5km), near the French border. You can also visit some beautiful medieval cities in Flanders like Bruges, Kortrijk, Ghent or Lille in France.
  The languages spoken in the area are French and Dutch.
