WE ARE SEARCHING FOR WORKAWAYERS 🦋 we are a Living and learning eco-community and we are non-profit
Hi there,
We are a life loving, family oriented, unschooling community located at the south part of Funen in Denmark. Here we live with the natural cycles, recognizing that is learning as an (inevitable) everlasting journey and eager to experience life to the fullest.
We are finally opening the doors to receive some more cultural exchange and collaboration, as we invite work-exchangers to come to our land.
What we are looking for:
You are an individual, a couple or a group traveling together. You are passionate about handcrafts, nature, kids, and/or learning. Maybe you have heard about unschooling, and want to learn more about it?
When presented with a mission, you strive to meet it the best way you can, while keeping sure of your own wellbeing and enjoyment of the task at hand.
You are 18 years or (much) older, healthy and responsible. When knowing what to do, you can take responsibility to do it.
Maybe you have a cool skillset that you can utilise to support our project, maybe you are an artist or perhaps you are simply looking to expand your experience.
For now we do not accept families for work exchange.
Who are we:
Our community is fairly fresh, with a few years under our wings.
Our location is an old farm, with a bunch of individual small houses spread around on the property. We have forest, open areas, several lakes and a lot of fun infrastructure in place.
We are 25 people, ranging from 0 to 60 years. A big part of our group is children.
The people here strive to live in freedom and with integrity. We prioritize both our individual lives and families, as well as the community as a whole.
We organize various events, both within the community, friends and for the general public.
For your stay, you will be linked with a contact person who will be your go-to during your stay.
We might have several workawayers at the same time, so even if you come alone, you might be introduced to more travelers.
We look so much forward to connect and hear all about you.

For your stay, you will be linked with a contact person who will be your go-to during your stay.
We might have several workawayers at the same time, so even if you come alone, you might be introduced to more travelers.
There is a natural flow of socialization, as we are a nice group with various interests and passions. At the same time, we want to specify that our visitors must be self going and initiate contact themselves when they want to be social.
During your stay, you are of course most welcome to participate in any events we have going on. For example sweatlodge and other ceremonies.
Arbeit
What kind of work would we like your support with?
We ask that you work 3-4 hours 4 days per week. At times we will work alongside you, and other times we ask that you work on the task by yourself.
The type of work will vary greatly depending on season, your skillset, how many workers there are, the duration of the stay etc.
A few examples of what we have on the agenda at the moment:
- Prepare for summer party
- Building a stage
- Painting/grafitti art, decorating a wall
- Clean and prepare hall for building indoor parkour space
- Gardening
- Clean land for bushes
- Design logo and graphic impression
- Family/child oriented activities

Unterkunft
Your stay:
While staying here you will be offered to sleep in a simple wagon, caravan or guestroom in our communal house. If you prefer, you are of course more than welcome to bring your own tent/camper.
We will provide daily dinner by cooking for you in our individual homes, as well as participate in the common dinner nights.
For other meals, we provide ingredients for you to prepare yourself.

The food arrangement was such that I would get dinner with the different families, on rotation, and have some ingredients/supplies to make my other meals.
The amount of work was more than fair, with 3 days off.
