  We are Mirko and Giuditta, director and screenwriter, in 2020 we moved away from the city to move to Cascina Costabella, a country house located on a hill with a panoramic view of the vineyards of Monferrato (in Piedmont), where we continue our activity immersed in nature.
  After having renovated the house, we have recovered the magnificent garden that surrounds the property and which we take care of personally, where it is possible to observe many botanical species, more than fifty kinds of roses and to walk among the flowers and shrubs that offer surprises in all seasons.
  We love to meet people, share with them the spaces that we have carefully created, where we also organize writing workshops and artistic residencies.

  Nous sommes Mirko et Giuditta, réalisateur et scénariste, en 2020 nous nous sommes éloignés de la ville pour déménager à Cascina Costabella, une maison de campagne située sur une colline avec une vue panoramique sur les vignobles du Monferrato (dans le Piémont), où nous poursuivons notre activité immergée dans la nature.
  Après avoir rénové la maison, nous avons récupéré le magnifique jardin qui entoure la propriété et dont nous nous occupons personnellement, où il est possible d'observer de nombreuses espèces botaniques, plus de cinquante rosiers et se promener parmi les fleurs et les arbustes qui offrent des surprises en toutes saisons.
  Nous aimons rencontrer les gens, partager avec eux les espaces que nous avons soigneusement créés, où nous organisons également des ateliers d'écriture et des résidences artistiques.

  Giuditta is a screenwriter, passionate about botany, literature and cooking, Mirko a film director, passionate about gardening and art.
  At Cascina Costabella we will work together in the garden, prepare meals and share moments of everyday life. The Workawayer will be able to meet our friends and, if he pleases, we will make some excursions to places of culture, art and we will come into contact with an ideal territory for curious travelers in love with nature and beauty.
  The food will be prepared all together, so that the Workwayer can learn how to prepare some traditional Italian dishes, teaching us the recipes of his country.
  We can help the Workawayer to learn Italian or, if interested, to know some aspects of our job.

  Giuditta est une scénariste, passionnée de botanique, de littérature et de cuisine, Mirko un réalisateur, passionné de jardinage et d'art.
  A Cascina Costabella nous jardinerons ensemble, nous préparerons des repas et partagerons des moments de la vie quotidienne, le Workawayer pourra rencontrer nos amis et, s'il le souhaite, nous ferons des excursions dans les lieux de culture, d'art et il sera capable d'entrer en contact avec un territoire idéal pour les voyageurs curieux et amoureux de la nature et de la beauté.
  La nourriture sera préparée tous ensemble, afin que le Workawayer puisse apprendre à préparer des plats italiens traditionnels, en nous enseignant les recettes traditionnelles de son pays.
  Nous pouvons aider le Workawayer à apprendre l'italien ou, s'il est intéressés, à connaître certains aspects de notre travail.

  *** Recovering an old garden ***
  Our romantic garden is really very large, during the spring (2024) we want to recover an overgrown area, restore old flowerbeds to give it back the beauty of the past.
  We host Workawayers to help us to achieve this goal, and for small tasks around the house.
  You don't need to be a professional gardener, we will work together and the garden will teach you a lot! :)

  *** Récupérer un ancien jardin ***
  Notre jardin romantique est vraiment très grand, pendant ce primtemps nous voulons récupérer une zone sauvage, restaurer d'anciens parterres de fleurs pour restaurer la beauté du passé.
  Nous accueillons des Workawayers pour nous aider dans dans cette tâche, et pour le ménage e les petits travaux de bricolage.
  Vous n'avez pas besoin d'être un jardinier professionnel, nous travaillerons ensemble et le jardin vous apprendra beaucoup ! :)

  Unterkunft

  We offer a room inside the house, located on the first floor, overlooking the garden.
  The rest of the common areas are on the ground floor of the house, where there is our living room-study, the dining room and the kitchen, the terrace and the small porch, overlooking the hills and a grove, where small nocturnal birds live.
  
  As part of the exchange, the food for the preparation of the main meals will be at our expense. The Workawayer will come with us to the farmer's markets to buy the products and we will prepare the meals together, so that this too is part of the cultural exchange. All meals are gluten-free because Giudi has an allergy, but they are delicious!

  Nous vous proposons une chambre à l'intérieur de la maison, située au premier étage, donnant sur le jardin.
  Le reste des parties communes se trouve au rez-de-chaussée de la maison, avec notre salon-bureau, la salle à manger et la cuisine, la terrasse et le petit porche aménagé, avec vue sur les collines et un bosquet où se trouvent de petits oiseaux de proie, comme le petit-duc et la chouette hulotte.
  
  Dans le cadre de l'échange, la nourriture pour la préparation des repas principaux sera à notre charge. Le Workawayer viendra avec nous sur les marchés agricoles pour acheter les produits et nous préparerons les repas ensemble, pour que cela aussi fasse partie de l'échange culturel. Tous les repas sont sans gluten car Giudi est allergique, mais ils seront délicieux !

  In free time we can take some trips together, to visit Monferrato, where history, art, architecture, traditions and craftsmanship coexist in an extraordinary landscape, all to be discovered.
  Sweet or steep hills, covered with woods and vineyards, offer wonderful opportunities to visit castles, villages and ancient parish churches.
  Or, not far away, you can visit the small art cities of Asti, Alessandria, Casale or go towards the sea near Genoa or in the wonderful cities of Turin and Milan.

  Pendant son temps libre on peut faire des sorties ensemble, visiter le Monferrato, où l'histoire, l'art, l'architecture, les traditions et l'artisanat cohabitent dans un paysage extraordinaire, le tout à découvrir.
  La "mer des collines" douce ou escarpée, couverte de bois et de vignes à perte de vue, offre de merveilleuses occasions de vivre dans l'enchantement des châteaux, des villages et des les anciennes églises paroissiales.
  Ou, non loin de là, est aussi possible visiter les petites villes d'art d'Asti, Alessandria et Casale ou aller vers la mer près de Gênes ou dans les merveilleuses villes de Turin et Milan.
