Hello all workawayers,
we are a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Ituha Village outside the city of Mbeya in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania. Founded in 2004, we work to unify, train, and empower a diverse field of local experts to design and operate various developmental programs. Our areas of programmatic expertise include education, HIV/AIDS awareness, natural resource management, supplying wheelchairs, supplying library books to community secondary schools and private secondary schools and small and micro entrepreneurship.
I thank workaway for their website. We are receiving so many volunteers from BRAZIL, FRANCE, GERMANY, HONGKONG, INDIA, ITALY, KOREA, ROMANIA, SWITZERLAND, TANZANIA, USA, etc. We still require more volunteers.
Currently, we are also working outside the scope of our organization because the volunteers who are coming to our organization have different backgrounds and different interests. Some of them want to work in certain sectors which we don't deal with. So, to cater to this demand we are connecting to other organizations in different parts of Tanzania to place volunteers of every background and interest in the field/sector that they like/enjoy. Some of the volunteering sectors are :
> medical staff in hospitals/clinics.
> teachers in secondary/primary/nursery/kindergarten schools.
> administrative staff in various institutions.
> (NGO) non governmental organizations, (NPO) non profit organizations.
> research institutes.
> staff for industries.
> tourist centers and travel companies etc.
