    Hello, Hola, Jambo!

I, along with my colleagues and volunteers, strive very hard for the most vulnerable children and adolescents by catering to projects situated in the Northwest region of the United Republic of Tanzania on the south-western shores of Lake Victoria.

We welcome solo volunteers, families, teams, different groups like students, and even friends. We are capable of hosting you and inviting you to join the project. This is a wonderful place where you can work for your passion and skills, share your time, and give back to those in need.

This is a small, not-for-profit children’s rights organization located in rural Bukoba. Our focus is on the empowerment of children and young youth suffering from abuse, poverty, and exclusion. We focus on strengthening vulnerable families and alternative child care for teenage girls as well as children living on the street. We continuously try to change the often unbearable living conditions of our beneficiaries. Furthermore, we cooperate with local schools, social welfare officers, and other NGOs as well.

The purpose of our projects is to aid our beneficiaries by fighting against poverty and injustice.

    1. Street Children and Young Youth ProjectWe visit the local streets to assess their condition, teach children some subjects, conduct sports and games, provide first aid, and speak to them to find an opportunity to encourage them off the streets and also reunite a child with their families. We then create a file with background information for every child accounted for, which helps us identify their needs, locate any newcomers, assist them, and refer them to the applicable services.

The main focus is on the street project. We want to improve the conditions of young people's and children's livelihoods by providing them with soft and technical skills for professions such as handcraft activities and business skills, along with self-awareness. This helps improve their ability to get better job opportunities, and connect with shelters and families. Moreover, the organization we need your experience in apprentiship/ employability to turn ideas into viable jobs or create jobs from surrounding challenges. Additionally, we put these initiatives ensure youth become employed and get off the streets.

We also young youth can participate through musical performances as well as different sports like soccer create a conducive environment for an apprenticeship to further develop their talents and skills.

We also organize Safari trips to the Ugandan Border, with nearby National parks that include Rubondo Island, and others like Serengeti and Ngorongoro parks (considered two of the bests for wildlife spotting). We can organize all types of Safari trips from budget/camping options to hotels and lodges inside the parks. Safari activities include Safari walks, waterfalls sightseeing, mountain trekking, game viewing, and photographic excursions to name a few.

    Fundraising and Awareness

In order to further develop, improve conditions, and maintain our place; we need immense help with fundraising and grants. We do a lot of work every day, but financial aid remains the biggest challenge.

    1. We would truly appreciate the help of a volunteer who could come up with new financing ideas, develop new partnerships, or create a good way to get donations and funding activities even later, then be independent. The project needs applicable ideas that can make it more self-sufficient and sustainable to achieve its goals. Moreover, we need someone who can assist us in spreading awareness about our projects globally. If you have the willingness and/or experience with grant writing, fundraising, report writing, or if you know organizations, people, or businesses that could support us, come make a difference!

    2. Train and mentor our team in fundraising techniques, emphasizing grant writing and other methodologies applicable to their daily tasks. Contribute not only to fundraising skills but also support organizational development initiatives.

    3. Join us and insert initiatives to support our construction project by financing, working at the site, and connecting it with friends and family to ensure we are completing the "child skills development center" as a temporary facility for children, ensuring they are safe while we connect them with their families or alternative care.

This means you can be directly involved in the available daily activities which include street visits, family visits, pcreating artwork, playing with children, preparing meals, household chores, homework, general counseling, computers/internet usage, and gardening. You can also help with writing content, website maintenance and social media networks, wood carving, carpentry, documentation, report writing along fundraising.

I would like Volunteers/interns/family ,team to work with us for 4 weeks or more, preferably 90 days, these weeks are divided into three:

    1. Earlier week is for the orientation, like visit field around street , know children and families
    2. Engage direct into work

Actually, there is no limitation if you want to stay more than 3 months or even a year in the organization. We believe that impact is people and people are the organization

    Amazing experiences await you!

Moreover its walkable distance to town, stores, shops, groceries, and the beach (Lake Victoria)

    Food:
We normally provide volunteers/interns with 3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) whenever they are in the home or office where vegetarian meals are also available. We offer locally sourced, fresh, and nutritious produce in meals cooked for other volunteers and people working at the project including children.
