== Who we are ==
We manage an eco-tourism project sharing Permaculture and "Sumaq Kausay" (from the quechua "Good Living" / "Buen Vivir") habits and ideals .
We promote a regenerative way of living in order to find peace and harmony with the Nature and the Universe, as a great family.
We fully trust in the potential of a responsible tourism experience to change minds. Travel means to leave your confort area entering in the learning area, allowing you a deeply transformation of paradigms so you become into the actor of the change that the world needs nowadays.
We're 3 residents on the project (and looking for more!): Gerther M.M. (graphic designer specialized in digital marketing, Peru), Hélène B. (agricultural engineer specialized in rural development, France) and our daughter, baby Saywa (born in march 2022).
We receive volunteers and visitors who want to enjoy the real luxury of life : billions of stars, pure water, fresh air, birds singing and magic mountains!
== Where we are ==
We're near from Lima`s capital (3-4 hours), in "Upica" (San Pedro de Casta district). The place, 2400 meters above the sea, and owned by the Comunidad Campesina (Local and Native Comunity) is located 30' before town, in the middle of the access road.
We are rounded by avocados and apple trees, a lot of andean terraces and two rivers. There are 75 species of birds in Upica (7 endemics) and also a huge diversity of wild medicinal plants.
San Pedro de Casta´s town (3400 meters) is known as the entrance of Marcahuasi stone's forest (4000 meters). This plateau offers magic landscapes (it's officially one of the 7 wonders of Peru) and emanates strong vibrations of healing energy (some people climb this mountain to have a mystical experience, improve their mindfulness and inner power).
== The services we offer to our visitors ==
- Lodging (single, doble or matrimonial rooms)
- Camping (as well camping material for rent)
- Healthy food (vegetarian, diversified and organic/local meals)
- Natural and handmande shop products
- Guided tours to Upica, rivers, mountains and the awesome experience of Marcahuasi
- Workshops organization (bio-construction, agro-ecology, life in comunity, etc...), retreats and gatherings
== Agreements and Commitments for Volunteers ==
*** NO FEE TO VOLUNTEER ***
Our relation with volunteers is based on the Ayni concept, meaning in quechua "universal reciprocity". We're very thanksfull for the serving attitude and we demostrate it in many ways.
We share diversity of tasks with the volunteers, respecting the energy and the inner essence of the person as well as the necesity of the project.
Our Agreements (inspired by the 4 Tolteca's agreements) :
- Be impeccable with your words
- Do the best you can
- Don't take anything personal
- Don't suppose
- Share and support
- Celebrate and enjoy
Our organisation use the four elements of the Nature to divide tasks and responsabilities:
Fire: conscient nutrition, holistic health, green energy
Earth : bio-construction, regenerative economy, security of people and goods
Water: agro-ecology, water circuit, sanitation
Air: harmonization, alternative education, communication
We are looking for people who can commit for at least 6 weeks and want to support one of the 4 elements, becoming an "Elemental".
We accept only 4 Elementals (one for each element).
The Elementals build together with the Vision Keepers*** the medium and long-term goals. They train and guide volunteers for daily tasks and the development of new projects.
To be an Elemental bring a lot of privileges:
- receive part of the abundance generated collectively in the project:
From the 100% of the incomes, we distribute in such a way: 50% for maintenance; 20% for investments; 30% to split between the 6 residents (4 Elementals and 2 Vision Keepers***)
- you prioritary have access to the private rooms and if you accept to rent your room, you earn extra-money.
- you can learn how to guide in Marcahuasi and after at least three climbings in the mountain, we can consider you as guide (80 - 120 soles/day).
***The 2 Vision Keepers are the co-founders of the project /Gerther and Hélène) and still help in many ways, bringing clarity on the dreams and goals of the project and training volunteers.
We consider accept two more people as Vision Keepers if some volunteers become long term resident and go through the experience of being Elemental in each of the four elements.Arten von Hilfe und Lernmöglichkeiten
