Beschreibung
The School is situated in Puthencavu a rural side of Chengannur town which falls in Central Travancore region in Kerala. This is a LP school founded on Children's Day i.e. 14th of November 2016 . We have Play Group,LKG,UKG , grade One to grade four and at the moment there around 50 kids. Our idea is to provide quality education to all kids.
“Pluralis” in Latin means “plural” and the School stands for togetherness.Thats why we have kept flexible fees structure and take kids who are from economically very poor background and also we never reveal this to other parents or outsiders so that the dignity and self respect of the child and child's family is protected.Every child who comes to our school is unique and rather than moulding the children into identical beings, we celebrate and respect their individuality. Here there is no discrimination, whatsoever, based on gender, religion, class or caste. Childhood surpasses all such barriers because it is pluralis in itself and our school foregrounds this value.
We offer comprehensive learning which includes playing in the mud to playing with the subjects. With this approach kids absorb knowledge by experiencing and experimenting. Our school upholds the learning which has its roots in humanity. Our motto is far from the race and nearer to the goal. And we prepare our kids to understand the diverse voices and individual sensibility . Also we teach English through Jolly Phonics. So the kids will be able to read and write at a very young age with out bothering about the spellings.

Kerala is called 'God's own Country'. It has its own unique culture,language,food,dressing up. Because of backwaters it is known for its house boats. Chengannur falls in Kuttanadu, called 'rice bowl' of Kerala. Its is one of the wonders one can say where paddy cultivation is done below the sea level through native methods. Vipasana Dhamma Ketana, Cheriyanadu is just 6kms away from our school. Mata Amritanandamayi's Ashram is less than one hour journey by road or by train
Our volunteers will get exposure to all this and more and experience life as an insider.
There are many places with historical importance in Chengannur. Like Mahadeva temple(it's one of the rarest temples of India where its believed and worshipd the deity Parwati Devi who gets menstral period time to time) , Pandavan Para, Old Serian Church, and many rivers. To name a few are Pamapa, Achan Kovil, Manimala, Varattar. There are endless list of things to see and experience in and around Chengannur.
Arbeit
We are looking for volunteers for our school where kids are from 2 and half yrs to 6yrs of age. I.e., Play group, Junior KG and Senior KG. Like all educational institutions of Kerala, the School also maintains five days a week as working day. That is from Monday to Friday. School works for ten months in an academic year from june 1st till next year march end. We are looking for somebody who could interact with little kids and help them with English conversation and activities.
We need women volunteers who could teach spoken English for our LKG,UKG kids. If the teacher who is volunteering knows We are following Jolly Phonics method to teach English to our kids. If they are trained in that field it will be a added advantage.
The school has 7 teachers , one principal ,two janitors, and vehicle facility for pick and drop kids and teachers.
The volunteers will not be the main teachers. They will be mainly assisting our teachers. It is basically an exposure for our kids to foreigners and hear and speak English on day to day basis.
Volunteers should wear fully covered clean cloths while in the School.

There are innumerable number of tourist places, very old temples, churches spread all around for them to visit. There are also many festivals, celebrations and cultural activities all through the year which the volunteers get to witness. Kerala is popular all over the world for its Ayurvedic treatment where different kinds of oil being used.
