I stayed with Mark and Tammi for a month during the summer and had an amazing time! This was my first workaway and it was a great way to start. In the few weeks I was there, not only did I learn so much about farm life (fencing, raising livestock, growing fruit and veg and haying), I also got to learn about rocks, local life and how to play crib!
… read more The work was hard at times but so rewarding. I love baking and had a great public for it because Mark has a very sweet tooth! I met a few other workawayers while staying on the ranch and it was all round a lovely environment. There is so much to learn and everyone was so happy to tell you about it! The animals were all gorgeous especially Zina and Spike! It was an amazing time, I’d do it all again in a heartbeat! Thank you again Tammi and Mark!

We spent two wonderful months at the farm with Mark, Tammi and Jerry. We really felt like home and as a part of the family :) We always had a good laugh and got the chance to learn many new things as chasing and branding cows, fencing, driving a tractor and growing many different veggies in the garden. The animals are gorgeous and especially the
… read more two dogs Spike and Zena always loved to cuddle and of course to sit on your food :D But also the pigs and the cows were happy to get some cuddles too ;)
The area is beautiful and perfect for outdoor activities like swimming in the river, horseback and quad riding and even hiking to a nearby lake.
We really enjoyed our stay with you guys and will definitely miss you. Thanks for the unforgettable time and all the great memories.

This place is an absolute treasure and it will be hard, if not impossible to find anything as good as this.

No but seriously, it is a fantastic place with great people, adorable animals ( prepare to get your face licked by the dogs xena and spike❤️), incredible sceneries, plenty of spare time activity options and lots of fun!
You'll learn so much about farming, running different equipment, caring for animals and so much more.
So I guess there's really only one thing left to say: Why aren't you messaging them yet?

I've had the greatest time at Tammi's ranch! The family welcomes you as you are one of their own and give you a taste of the Canadian culture. Working with the animals was fun and theres a lot of opportunity at the ranch to learn new things. I've learned to make new dishes, gardening, a little bit of canning, riding the tractor etcetera. … read more to that, Tammi and her family also give a lot in return: they took us volunteers a full weekend to the rodeo, we had breakfast at the 50's diner, we celebrated Canada Day in the park, and ate donuts at the general store in town. Nothing is too much to ask and everything is relaxed and fun. For me it was an unforgettable experience and I really miss everyone and all the animals.
