Beschreibung

We are looking for a house and pet sitter for 3 weeks in December. Our large three bedroom home sits on 400 acres of forest, creeks, beaver ponds and meadows. You can cut your own Christmas tree from the forest, skate on the pond behind the house, hike or ski on the many trails throughout the property or take a day-trip to enjoy the quaint villages and towns in the region. Jill, our dog, would be overjoyed to accompany you on your walks!

Because we won't be here while you are house-sitting, you will need your own transportation.

We would not be here for most of your stay, but while we are we can enjoy hikes together and share meals, recipies and (of course) lots of stories and laughter. If you are interested we could pick and harvest a Christmas tree from our land.

Arbeit

We are looking for a person, couple or family to house-sit and pet-sit while we are away. We have one house dog - Jill - who is a well behaved border collie. She is good with people of all ages. In addition we have two barn cats. They live outside (and love it) due to allergies.

Jill will need to be walked at least once per day. The cats are fed once per day and Jill twice per day. Jill walks great off-leash on our land.

Enjoy your stay in our large, fully renovated 3 bedroom heritage farmhouse with a large, fully equiped, freshly renovated kitchen, living and dining room.

There are three large bedrooms: The master has a king bed, the second has either two twin beds or (by putting the twins together) a king bed and the third room has a queen bed.

Our home is a fully divided duplex, with a very quiet lady living on the other side. She is available to give you a hand if you need it, otherwise you won't know she is there.

Within a 15 minute drive there are several lakes (including the incredible Charleston Lake). The Thousand Island region of the St. Lawrence River is only a 40 minute drive. Ottawa and Kingston are a day trip away. The villages of Merrickville and Westport offer great artisanal craft shops to top up your Christmas shopping.

In the house we have Bell Fibre connection - fast and reliable. There also is a cell phone booster which gives excellent cell service in the house. When you are outside hiking the cell service is present but not great.
