We are Murray and Julie, an older English couple who have lived in Normandy for 20 years
Julie is a dog groomer and Murray is a part time chauffeur taking tourists to local attractions in the holiday season
We live between the 2 towns of Lisieux and St Pierre sur Dives where you can find all the usual amenities including a railway station
We have 5 dogs one of whom is expecting a litter of puppies 2 cats and a few chickens

We can pass on our experience of animal care to our volunteers
they will see how we have managed to integrate into a different way of life

Our house is about 8 kilometres from the nearest big town of Lisieux and there is no bus route so if you want to go shopping you will have to rely on us for a lift when we are available.
We are 35 minutes from the coastal towns of Deauville and Trouville and just over 2 hours from Paris by train from Lisieux
Lisieux has every amenity and is home to the famous Basilica de Therese
The ancient city of Rouen is about 1 hour away
Please only apply if you really have a passion for dogs. We have 5 large breed dogs which live in the house with us as part of the family. We also have 2 cats and several chickens so you need to be comfortable around animals and happy to help care for them which will include cleaning up after them feeding etc
We are not able to cater for vegans

It was so much fun playing with the dogs and the cats:) The gardening work was fair and we did everything they asked us to do with joy. They took us around Normandi which is a beautiful region.
