  Hello! I am Kathrin, a trained architect, I bought an old farmhouse surrounded by beautiful nature 1hr south-east from Berlin. I lived in Berlin for almost 20 years and moved to Brandenburg in 2019. I love gardening, cooking, traveling and my two cats Nelson and Piper!

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  I work for a non-profit organisation in Brandenburg that develops new forms of working and co-living in rural areas -Netzwerk Zukunftsorte - you can get insights into the development of the countryside of former East Germany. There is a direct train connection to Berlin to check out city-life if you want to (Train ticket for 1 month is 49€). I also provide bikes so you can explore the surroundings here.

  Arbeit

  I am currently renovating my farmhouse - beautifully located in nature, with a campfire pit and endless possibilities for walks. I have a team of professional workers that comes and goes for the main tasks.
  My plot is pretty big - approx. 6.000sqm - next to the forest with some old fruit trees and a veggie garden - getting into permaculture and landscape design (longterm goal is a swimming pond) and am open for some arty installations here and there.
  
  I finished building a sewage treatment system which recycles my waste water and brings it back into the soil.
  I ripped the house apart - now putting it back together: floor-heating, finishing the downstairs bathroom, painting, tiling, fitting the kitchen I bought etc.
  
  I am not running out of tasks - there is a variety to chose from, so it's never boring 😅

  Unterkunft

  Single room in the house. In summer I also provide big private Tipi tents equipped with a regular mattress, duvet & cushions, chair, nightstand etc. If you travel by van, you can park on my property with a forest view.

  Direct train connection to Berlin (approx.1hr), beautiful nature, woods, fields, campfires.
  I can provide vegetarian / vegan meals - I cooked most of my life this way.
