Beschreibung
We are a small community living on the land just west of Kassel. Our place is an old small Demeter farm, but now we produce just for ourselves and transforming the place for us to live outside and welcome guests, host small community events.

I am originally from England but the rest of our community are from Germany, ages ranging from 27 to our 68 year old Hauptmieter who started this project here three years ago, there is also a traditional small family German farm nextdoor to us, there are lots of opportunities to get to know some German countryside culture, there are also some tourists in our area, lots of walking and cycle ways, nearby nature park and lakes / forests to explore 🏕️ I can cook cook some English food whilst my housemates can provide some German cuisine, we are also looking forward to taste your food, we generally are taking it in turns to cook, each person at least once a week, for this there are eggs from our chickens, fresh produce from our garden, a food storage room full of organic essentials and lots of wild things to forage🌱

We are looking for people who are interested to help us cocreate and keep transforming the place to be able to also create a vibrant day to day community atmosphere and also host small gatherings friends with workshops and outdoor activities, dancing, fire, coming together on our place🍃
For this we are in the process of making a sauna and a guest hut from upcycled materials, but there are also many other things to plant and water the vegetables herbs and so, decorating and taking care of the garden and our small forest, looking after the chickens and playing with the cats, foraging, harvesting and putting love into the the place wherever you feel inspired to contribute, we have the space, tools and materials💫 There is a lot of freedom with the process we can meet together each morning to discuss what needs to be done and what we feel inspired to do, it is however pretty relaxed and not to much pressure to do specific hours, there is plenty of time for spending time together in the garden and also taking time for ourselves✨
One day a week we drive to help a friend's organic solawi farm project to help out and prepare our young plants for the garden then make a sauna Abend🔥 -

The rural area provides a good opportunity for practising German and it is definitely a big help for integration of you can already speak a little bit of German:) -
Unterkunft
We have for guests, a few cosy sleeping corners in the attic which is split into two halves so two people can share with enough privacy and also has a cinema room, there is also a caravan in the garden and a small camping forest at the bottom of our garden with space for tents and hammocks, also space to bring your own camper 🏕️

We are looking after the vegetables in the garden and also preparing the community spaces to host a small gathering at our place towards the end of August, there are many building, gardening, animal, decoration, cooking, foraging work to get involved with, also lots of space for ideas and co creation 🌞 -

We can take small road trips together on days off which I am also free, I am working a few 24h shifts in the month and then it would be possible to take our two community bikes to explore the local nature parks and trails🍃
For times we are not able to cook together we have community ingredients in the kitchen and cellar which workawayers can use to prepare meals themselves.
Maximum 4 hours a day 5 days a week but we are flexible and can speak about what is fitting for everyone:)
I have experience both helping to host workawayers on other places and also as a workawayer in a few different countries myself💫 -
