  It's nice to see you here. Our project is many, many things, but we'll try to be short and then find out more later.
  
  The cultural association (Free me, Free all) is composed of individuals committed to the promotion of culture and art, inspired by values of equality, respect, and embracing diversity, deeply rooted in nature and in the local territory of Trapani.
  
  Its main objective is to promote the intersection of culture, agriculture and artistic expressions by bringing together people and projects from around the world to foster networks aimed at mutual growth. Currently, it is supported by the family-run agricultural company, primarily dedicated to olive oil production.
  
  Located at its headquarters, Il Baglio, in Sicily, the association provides a space dedicated to creation, education, and intercultural exchange, facilitating coexistence and the sharing of experiences. Il Baglio is also one of the locations of the Sur-Sud Caribe-Mediterranean project, along with Casa Rural in Pamplona and Casa Galera in Galerazamba, both in Colombia.
  
  What we do:
  - artistic residencies
  - cultural events (workshops, theatre shows, concerts, cinema nights)
  - small festivals
  - a lot of informal shared meals to strengthen community and networks
  - book presentations
  - gardening, cooking, eating, carpenting,
  
  KEEP IN MIND:
  - we are in a rural area, 15 minutes from the city (be okay with hitchhiking or waiting for buses patiently, or wait for rides where possible!)
  - we are a very diverse community: lots of people come and go through this place, of different ages and generations, languages, ideologies, personalities and walks of life :) we love to learn from each other and our differences (despite being really hard sometimes!)
  - it can get really hot in the summer! make sure you are prepared for the heat if you want to come in july/august
  - we really appreciate your efforts in communicating with local people who only speak Italian. Knowing more languages can often be a sign of privilege here (it means you travelled or received a good education). So please be patient if people don't speak your language!
  - be ready to be transformed by your time here :)

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  this place carries out various activities aimed at fostering creativity, cultural exchange, and community building:
  Il Baglio welcomes residents from any part of the world and for variable periods, offering board, lodging, time, and multiple spaces for their own projects. Time, as we always say, “it’s one of the most precious thing we can offer” . In fact the main value upon which our residencies are based is the quality of time.
  The voulunteers are welcome to take care of the place with us, collaborating to create a good environment for the residents we are hosting.
  The meeting and medley of individuals are also based on the connection with the hosting culture, through daily life and the celebration of shared moments, starting for example from the preparation of a typical dishes, so that the residents and the voulunteers feel as part of the context in which they are experiencing their own journey, getting in touch with all the typical characteristics of the environment. All this can also lead to new incentive for the creation of personal projects and/or collaborations with newly discovered realities.

  Arbeit

  Our project would not have been possible without the people who revolve around it. We are supported by various professionals and non-professionals who operate within the structure according to the needs and events that arise. Always following the principle of inclusion, it is important for us that people who offer to help are supported by others already trained for the task, in order to create a continuous flow of growth, both individual and collective.
  We are looking for nature and animal lovers, gardeners, carpenters, welders, green builder, interior designer and all the lovers of manual tasks.
  But we also are looking for cooking lovers (actually we are in a place where food is very important!)
  All the people are living here collaborate for the cleaning and the manutience of the Baglio.

  We have different possibilities that vary depending on the period we are hosting you and the number of artists in residency
  - Two rooms with double beds with private toilets
  - A mezzanine with a double bed
  - Big camping tents with toilets and freshwater
  - Lots of Colombian hammocks :)
