IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY ON VASHON ISLAND, WASHINGTON!
This charming house is on one of the most beautiful islands in the world: Vashon Island. Just a short ferry ride and a world away from downtown Seattle, Washington. You would have your own house, 2 bedrooms, with a large yard and garden and a barn that functions as an art studio.
The property will go on the market next spring 2026 and I am hoping to find someone who can house sit and keep it in tip top shape until then, short term or long term option can be discussed.
I am looking for a dependable single person or couple without pets. This is a no smoking property.
I am looking for help maintaining the garden and a responsible person to look after the house. Help with the computer would be a plus.
I am an artist who works in cast glass. I really love to meet people from other countries, especially Scandinavia, Europe and Japan. My house is within walking distance of the dock for the ferry to Seattle. The Vashon bus stops only a block away. There is no need for a car in this convenient location.

Travelers would see a rural, very friendly island with many artists and musicians. Vashon has a rich diversity of cultural and sports opportunities. If that isn't enough, Seattle, a world class city is only 20 minutes away by ferry.

I would appreciate help with the garden, cleaning, painting walls and outdoor furniture, help with computer would be great.

No car needed. Volunteers can take the ferry over to Tacoma or Seattle (both take about 20 minutes) and enjoy Pikes Place market, fine restaurants, art museums, music events, etc. On Vashon, we have all these things too! Plus hikes in deep forest, kayaking, beach walks, and camping and much more.
