  Hello Workawayers!
  
  I'm Alba, I'm 39 years old, and along with my human and animal pack, we live in a typical Catalan masia, that is, a traditional, rustic house that we recently renovated entirely ourselves. It's a small, self-sufficient house; we're not connected to any public electricity, water, or sewage systems, but we have all the comforts we need. We're located in the mountains at 1000 meters altitude, at the foot of the Eastern Pyrenees. It's a privileged and beautiful setting—so much so that we fell in love with it and decided to stay! The human pack consists of four members: three adults and a three-year-old girl. The animal pack consists of six members: a dog named Torb, a dog named Vall, a cat named Quercus, and three hens (Sol, Lila, and Negra).

  Soy Alba, tengo 39 años y junto con mi manada humana y animal vivimos en una típica masia catalana, es decir una casa tradicional y rústica recién reformada íntegramente por nosotras mismas. Es una pequeña casa autosuficiente, no estamos conectadas a ninguna red pública de electricidad, agua, saneamiento, pero contamos con todas las comodidades.
  Nos ubicamos en medio del monte a 1000m de altura en los pies de los Pirineos Orientales. Un entorno privilegiado y hermoso, tanto que nos enamoró y ahí nos quedamos!
  La manada humana está formada por 4 miembros, de los cuales 3 somos adultas y una niña de 3 años.
  La manada animal está formada por 6 miembros, que son un perro Torb, una perra Vall, un gato Quercus y tres gallinas (Sol, Lila y Negra).

  Workawayers will be able to enjoy trying the typical food of our area, such as a good "pa amb tomata" (bread with tomato), escudella i carn d'olla (a traditional Catalan stew), and many other local dishes. We are also passionate about the mountains in general, and I practice mountaineering and climbing as often as I can. I also enjoy playing chess, reading, and playing the piano (we have an electric keyboard at home). We frequently take walks and hikes in the surrounding area; there are several streams with different pools near our house, perfect for swimming in the summer, and we live close to the mountains that make up the Eastern Pyrenees.
  
  Los workawayers podrán gozar de provar la comida típica de nuestra zona, como es un buen "pa amb tomata", una escudella i carn d'olla, y otros muchos platos típicos de aquí.
  A parte somos unas apasionadas de la montaña en general y yo practico, tan a menudo como puedo, el alpinismo y la escalada; además me gusta jugar al ajedrez, leer y tocar el piano (en casa tenemos un teclado eléctrico).
  Los paseos y caminatas por los alrededores son constantes, al lado de casa hay varios torrentes con diferentes pozas para bañarse en verano y vivimos cerca de las montañas que configuran el Pirineo Oriental.

  Arbeit

  At home, we all pitch in to do everything, and every day is different. Some of us focus mainly on the outdoors: clearing the grass that grows endlessly thanks to the precious rains, chopping firewood, repairing damage caused by the cows, wild animals, or storms, and so on. I, on the other hand, combine caring for the animals, our little one, tending the fire, and preparing meals with my work as an architect. But you'll also find me on weekends, holidays, and some weekdays chopping firewood, finishing the woodshed, or collect trees that the wind knocked down… And it's precisely this second part of the help that we'd like to have more this summer so we can finish everything on time before the bad weather and cold set in again. With help, we'd also be able to revive the lovely vegetable garden we had last year.
  
  En casa entre todas lo hacemos todo y cada día es diferente.
  Algunos se ocupan sobre todo del exterior, de desbrozar la hierba que crece sin cesar por las preciadas lluvias, hacer leña, reparar desperfectos ocasionados por las vacas, los animales salvajes, o los temporales, etc.
  Yo, en cambio, en mi día a día combino ocuparme de los animales, de la pequeña, del fuego, de preparar las comidas, con mi trabajo de arquitecta. Pero también me encontraréis los fines de semana, festivos y algún día entre semana haciendo leña, terminando la construcción del cobertizo para la leña o llevando el tractor para ir a recoger los árboles que el viento derribó…
  Y justamente es en esta segunda parte que este verano nos gustaría contar con más ayuda para poder terminar todo a tiempo antes de que nos coja otra vez el mal tiempo y el frío. Además, con ayuda podremos recuperar el bonito huerto que teníamos el año pasado.

  Unterkunft

  Our idea is that the WWOOFer who comes will be a full member of the family. We usually eat all our meals together; perhaps everyone eats breakfast independently, depending on what time they get up, but we share the rest. The same goes for accommodation: they will live with us, have their own room, but other spaces like the bathroom, kitchen, and dining room will be shared.
  
  Nuestra idea es que el/la WWOOFer que venga sea un miembro más de la casa.
  Nosotras normalmente realizamos todas las comidas juntas, tal vez los desayunos cada cual va más por libre, en función de la hora que se levante, pero el resto las compartimos.
  Y para el alojamiento lo mismo, vivirá en casa con nosotras, tendrá su propia habitación, pero los demás espacios como son el baño, la cocina, el comedor se compartirán.
