Beschreibung
We are a four story backpacker hostel/ social hotel with a reggae cafe bar on the ground floor that cater to travelers here in Kota Kinabalu. We are looking for fun-loving people to help us in our quest to bring joy and happiness to all the travelers of Sabah! We currently have several local full-time staff that work at reception and as administrative assistants for backpacker relations, all of which love working with and interacting with travelers from around the world!

You will be able to meet people from all over the world daily and form lasting friendships that you will remember all your life. You will also be able to immerse yourself in the rich Sabahan culture that Kota Kinabalu has to offer. We also employ local staff from all around Malaysia that love to teach foreigners about the many different subcultures, customs and history of the magnificent island of Borneo. You will become part of our little family here as we host events and activities throughout Kota Kinabalu and surrounding areas with other backpackers that will have you interacting with many additional locals, all of which are excited to share their cultural background with you. We will make sure that you leave this experience with a vast knowledge of this area of Southeast Asia and with a newfound sense of belonging in our familly here, with memories you will keep for the rest of your days. Who knows? Maybe you will even depart from us speaking Malay, because everyone here is ready to teach you! We would in turn love to know about your country's history, languages and customs as well, as we find this world full of different people, from all walks of life, fascinating and love learning about every part of it!
Arbeit
We would need assistance at our hostel with guest relations, such as checking in guests and taking them to do various activities around the area, running the events we do for them and promoting our backpacker fun😉! There would also possibly be some very light housekeeping duties involved.

Unterkunft
You would have a free dormitory bed in our hostel and free breakfast every morning. Additionally, you would have a kitchen to cook your meals, free wifi, and a large hangout lounge area to chill with a PlayStation 5! There is also a shared workspace area for those of you who are working online and as digital nomads 🥳

In your time off you may wander around the amazing and world-famous city of Kota Kinabalu, exploring the night markets and malls in the area. There are nice museums and delightful historical sites that are amazing to see as well. There is beautiful beaches to explore and island hopping adventures that await with wonderful clear waters for snorkeling. Mount Kinabalu is a short trip away, and one of the highest and most majestic mountains in Southeast Asia.

Where to start, you and your staff made me and Maggie feel at home right away. You welcomed us with open arms and smiles.
