  My name is Martín, I'm from Quito-Ecuador but I'm currently living and working in a beach town called Mompiche, which is located in the northern ecuadorian coast in the province of Esmeraldas. My work consist of building my own restaurant and hostel here, using mostly wood. I also need to decorate the place with murals and paintings. The construction has advanced about 75% but there´s still a lot of work to do to finish it. I decided to start building in this place because its amazing!!! its somewhere the jungle and the beach meets. There are many paradise beaches around, great surf (which is the reason I live here🤙🏼), delicious food and many nice people to meet from all around the world. This is basically a touristic and fishing town.

  You can practice many languages in this town thanks to the flow of tourist from many countries. The primary language is spanish. You could learn a lot about wildlife and sealife from the zone. This is a place full of biodiversity. People from the ecuadorian coast are very happy and positive and its interesting to interact with them. Working with me will give you the chance to prove your skills, cause I like things done in the best possible way!

  I need people with experience in building with wood. I also need artists who can make some nice big murals and paintings in the walls and columns. I have a lot of space that needs to be filled with art! Workawayers with experience in gardening are necessary too.

  Unterkunft

  I can offer a room with a bed for one or two volunteers if you want to share. If the room is being used by other volunteers or by guests, you can sleep eather in a hanging mattress at the camping area, a hammock or a tend with sleeping bag and pillow. You will have access to a well equipped kitchen, bathroom, shower and wifi. I take care of the expenses of one meal a day.

  The closest airport is in Esmeraldas city about two hours away from Mompiche by bus. We are 6-8 hours away from Quito and 10 from Guayaquil by bus. In your time off you can relax at the beach, practice water sports such as surfing. We have really good and constant waves here. You can socialize with people in town. You can go to nearby beaches like Playa Negra which has black sand or you can visit and camp in the island of Portete with white sand and giant palm trees everywhere. You can do jungle tours to watch birds, monkeys and many native species in their habitat.
