  I am an artist grandmother of 8 grandchildren living in milan. I have 3 daughters who are living in different cities in Italy and some of my grand children are across the globe.
  English is my mothertongue but I have acquired fluent Italian in the 50 years I have lived here in italy. I also speakSome French.
  During the summer vacation between I move with my two cats to my country place in Gubbio, Umbria 30 kms from Perugia and Assisi. From July to all of August.
  
  My property consists of 4 separate cottages of different sizes once was a very active place hosting writers, visiting professors, artists. But after the recent of my husband and it,s distance from Milan, it has not been used as formerly.
  As I am often alone during this period, I prefer to host guests (one or a couple ) who can assure me their presence in the evening. I also need help with painting doors, repairing stone walls, weeding my garden and small household chores. I have regular house help.
  
  Transportation: this place is 7 kms from the town of Gubbio.
  Buses are infrequent, so we lend bicycles for guest use.
  
  Food and room with attached bathroom are provided in the house that I occupy.
  I am a convinced ecologist, vegetarian. You are more than welcome to cook your own food.
  
  Note I would like to repeat that my main concern is a constant presence in the night. I am especially looking for someone towards the end of july.

  There are 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms in the large cottage that I occupy. My guest/ guests will have a room with attached bathroom.

  There are some pretty walks leading to a lake just outside the gate. My property is part of a much larger farm Villa Fassia. And Gubbio though small has beautiful architectural and artistic places to visit such as Perugia (bus from the bottom of the road). Umbria is rich in beautiful hill towns, delicious food and kindness, following the philosophy of St Francis of Assisi.
