Staying at my place will give you knowledge about northernnorwegian culture. Sometimes I can offer a roadtrip. Nature experiences will be present at all times, because of the location and wildlife in the area. I also like practicing norwegian with people by listening to their reading and talking. I have time to spend with readingexersices.

My place is located in Vesterålen in quite a rural area, but there is a bus stop Just by my driveway. 2 hours drive from Lofoten. Nearest towns are Sortland and Myre.
NOTE that the house is very calm and quiet. In the wintermonths also very dark. To stay here, you have to be able to cope with solitude. -

I deeply reccomend Anna for farm/housesitting.
Alsvag and the area around is spectacular. The weather wasn't always kind even in June but it didn't matter, the fjord and mountain views and skies kept changing.
