Jose and Vanesa were a lovely couple. Cheerful, friendly and easy going guests. They spoke good English so we were able to have some good conversations with them sharing cultures, ideas and experiences. They chatted easily about their home culture and lifestyle and were very interested in our own . They also loved our dog Jonty and he enjoyed

They were very willing to tackle any jobs we needed them to do during their stay which included weeding and clearing a large kikuyu grass area to release the small flax plants. They cut down Canna lilies in one area and then re-planted them in another which was a huge job. They spread loads of woodchip in our landscape plantings. They assisted us with setting up our the staff Xmas party and helped clear up and wash up which was greatly appreciated by all. They were great workers and wonderful people who we would happily recommend to other hosts. We wish them all the best for some more exciting adventures in NZ .
We couldn't have started our trip to New Zealand in a better way. The place is spectacular but even better are Edgar, Felicity and Jonty (the funny dog).
From the beginning everything was very easy and welcoming. In our case we enjoyed the house (just for us), with spectacular views and good food!! You must see the magnificent private beach where

Most of the work was easy and varied, helping them with gardening, always with amazing views. Thanks to them we have learned a lot about premaculture and gardening.
Both Edgar and Felicity are very hard-working, open and friendly, they always make you feel at home. We couldn't be more grateful for how well they have treated us and for everything they have shared with us, they even invited us to their Christmas party where we had a great time and met wonderful people!! Thank you so much for everything family, we will miss you very much (Jonty forever), although we threaten to return😜!! And remember that you have a house in Spain.
We recommend them 200000% , but only at the end of your trip because nothing you visit afterwards will seem better to you!!😍

My stay in Onemana with Felicity and Edgar was one of the best times I had in New Zealand. They are both very friendly and very helpful, also when it comes to helping with activities after work. The accommodation, the environment and the food were fantastic. The work was also very interesting and varied. I would highly recommend a stay!

Our Workaway with Felicity and Edgar was our first one and we couldn't have wished for a better experience. They welcomed us with open arms, are kind and made our stay really special. We both felt instantly like having second home on the other side of the world. Thank you so much guys for this special experience & the friendships we could built.Feedback

Felicity and Edgar were the most welcoming hosts who tried everything to make the Workaway experience a great one. I loved the stay and work on the farm and would definitely come back :-)

… read more home-cooked dinner to get to know each other. While at the farm we were staying in our own house which was just amazing - with a breathtaking view, lots of space, a cosy living room and even a fire place. We were having breakfast while watching the sunrise over the ocean, surrounded only by nature and a lot of birds. We worked 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, in exchange for free accommodation and provisions of food (the fridge and freezer were filled with a lot of things, even own meat from the farm, what gave us a lot of options to prepare different meals by ourselves). The work was also nice, because we usually worked as a team, mostly together with Edgar (and their loving dog Jonty, who was always around to play). They spent a lot of time to talk with us and explain us everything. They even gave us different work every day so that it never got boring or too exhausting. In the week I was there we chipped a lot of wood, brought out wood chips, collected dead branches, planted new plants, released plants by cutting down grass and painted two benches. Every morning we also had a 30 minute coffee break, where we could talk with Felicity and Edgar and enjoy Felicity's delicious pastries. In our free time we were able to enjoy the beautiful beach and surroundings of the farm. We were even allowed to use a SUP, bodyboards and wetsuits from them! One day Felicity also drove us to Onemana, so we could do a hike back to the farm along the coast while it was low tide.
All in all it was such a great experience! The farm, the houses and all the surroundings are incredibly beautiful. Felicity and Edgar are open-minded, loving, funny and caring people. And Jonty the dog brings a laugh to your face every day with his energy and urge to get your attention or to play together. I can only recommend the stay to everyone :-)

This Workaway stay was extraordinary!
We woke up at our farmhouse where only Workawayers stayed (we shared it with two German girls). We ate breakfast with the view of sunrise over the ocean.
The work started at 8am usually by playing with the dog Jonty who was always full of energy. Soon Felicity and Edgard showed up - the farm managers who
… read more welcomed us and showed us the whole farm on our first day of arrival - and who cared for us lovingly our whole stay. They would assign us the work - usually native plant releasing or other chores around the garden or tree cutting and chipping. The owners of the farm have great projects in process (syntropic orchard, replanting native plants and trees to restore biodiversity, pest control, landscaping, general maintenance of the farm).
Around 10.30 we all would have a teatime where we had time to chat - some days with the owners of the farm too, when they happened to visit. It was nice to have this space for chatting and cultural exchange.
The afternoon was off so we could either explore the Coromandel or on rainy days watch TV in the cozy living room by the fireplace.
Felicity made sure we had all we needed plus we had an endless supply of oranges and avocados from the garden.
There have been days where we would make a walk in the surroundings - to the lookout accompanied by Jonty or Felicity dropped us off in Onemana and we would walk alongside the coast in low tide through all the beaches and would end up at the private beach of the farm.
We surely loved the farm, were sad to leave this magical place that had so many positive people living and coming there to work daily.
We surely want to come visit to see how this place changes and how our work has impacted the place. Totally recommending this place.Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.
