  Hello, My name is Heather, I live in a traditional French village which is located 10 mins from one of the largest ski resorts in the world - the 3 valleys. I consider myself very lucky to live here, during the summer the place is practically devoid of tourists and I often feel like I own the mountains, its very beautiful and tranquil.
  
  The skiing, walking, cycling around the village is wonderful. It is only 1hr15 from Lac d'Annecy and a bit further to Lac du Bourget. The wonderful cities of Lyon, Annecy, Chambery, Grenoble and Geneva are all worth a visit and full of interest and history.
  
  I am a Brit living and working in one of the most beautiful parts of France. You need to be confident to get out and about on your own, ideally have your own transport, but we'll work it out if not. You are welcome to use my mountain bike - its small size.

  I live in a small traditional mountain village, yet it is near to some of the biggest commercial ski areas and tourist areas in France so its very diverse. The village does not have a pub or shop, there is a village bar/restaurant in walking/cycling distance. A village up the road, 10mins drive, has live music evenings and fetes/markets and you would be welcome to join me when I go. And down the mountain 10 mins away is a small mountain town that also has activities.

  Arbeit

  I am looking for friendly, helpful person, or a couple, to come and help me with organising my garden back into some semblance of order, which will include digging and moving earth about so you'll need a strong back, and some general maintenance in the house - painting, decorating and general finishing off work to the house, inside and outside. There are lots of tasks to do big and small, hard and easy, heavy and light, so what you end up doing will depend on your skill set. Don't come if you're not motivated to get stuck in.

  Unterkunft

  Separate 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment with large lounge/kitchen with sunny balcony and great views. No TV but internet connection which is good but not super fast. As you would be directly below me you would need to be reasonable quiet as I work from home. Non smokers only. Cats in the house, but not the apartment. You will need to like cats however as they own the garden.

  The transport in the valley is not great, so ideally you'd have your own car. However once you get down to Moutiers 10 mins away by car the transport is fantastic as there is TGV, train, bus. There is much to do here if you like mountains and there are also some lovely places to visit such as Annecy and Lyon. The views from the house are amazing. And if you walk outside you can also see Mont Blanc. Its a wonderful place to spend time. There is no nightlife other than a village bar 15mins walk away so this is not for someone seeking late noisy nights. You are welcome to use my mountain bike (small).
