Outside of work, there are plenty of hiking trails and local festivities to enjoy, and on weekends, you can easily take the train/bus to nearby towns, which is a lot of fun!

Es war eine schöne Zeit mit Natalie, die sich hier gut eingefunden und die anfallenden Arbeiten im Garten selbständig und mit Freude erledigt hat. Die Kommunikation war gut, die komplexeren Dinge und philosophischeren Aspekte des Lebens haben wir auf englisch besprochen, die einfacheren Alltagsdinge auf deutsch. Bei Unklarheiten hat sie immer rechtzeitig nachgefragt, bevor Unstimmigkeiten entstehen konnten. So konnte sie ihr Deutsch verbessern und ich mein Englisch.
Natalie hat sehr lecker gekocht, und kam auch prima mit den Hunden klar.

Vanessa was the right person in the right place for the right job. Preparing an event in my garden, she did a really good job with all of the different tasks (dechaotisation, harvesting, chopping weed, making veggie beds look nice and comfortable, making juice and jam and collecting seeds).

Maren is a really nice women with a lot of live experiences. She always gave me the right work to do! Maren is cooking fresh and also in the kitchen were some tasks to do, like preparing the Grape-juice, from the harvest outside! All around, I had a good view inside of the circular agriculture. For my stay we also prepared the garden for the "Gärten der Artenvielfalt-Preisverleihung/-Gathering).
Erfweiler is a really beautiful and small town and Maren also took me to some places in the forest and on a "Raubzug" for buying some food ;)
All by all, I really can recommend to every garden lover to have a stay in Erfweiler and enjoy to work with Maren!

Während ihres dreiwöchigen Aufenthaltes war Martina mir eine große Hilfe im Garten und eine angenehme Gesellschaft. I've been 2 whole weeks with Maren and her two energetic wonderful dogs: Enno and Sammy. I've been working in a variety of morning tasks: cutting branches and little trees like hazelnuts for later shredding them with a machine, crafting a compost fence with branches in the upper garden, assisting with the rail renovation in the second house,
… read more gathering blackberries and raspberries, walking the dogs alongside Maren, creating pathways for the vegetable garden and even crafting stairs in a slope with rocks. The work was always so satisfying and very adaptable.
The house is in a tiny charming town in the "Felsenland" region, called Erfweiler. You'll find hundred of hiking paths to explore (there's just one starting from the house!). Maren lent me a bike and make the most of my excursions with it. My favorite is the one that leads to the "Planetenweg" next to Hinterwidenthal, and from there starts a bike adapted path until Dahn, offering breathtaking views of the mountains.
In the night if it is not cloudy you see a lot of stars and the place is so quiet, just nature. Maren advice you and take care of you, the food excellent and I really felt myself at home.
