  Beschreibung

  We are Bastian (52J) and Hannah (49), a German couple who are working on building our dream to create an off grid paradise in the Golfo dulce of Costa Rica with plenty of room for adventure, nature, detachment and fun. We bought a beautiful hill property at the sea and want to turn it into a space where human and nature can live as one. We are very close to Corcovado national Park where 5%of the World's bioderversity is located. On our finca we get visited by different kinds of monkeys, a large variety of birds (including pelicans and scarlet macaws), reptiles (like snakes and small crocidiles) and amphibians, mainly frogs ans toads, as well as crabs. We are very determined to leave them their habitat and only build in a very selected part of the property without disturbing the animals. For our guests we would like to offer an analog nature experience with canoes, a natural waterfall and hiking paths.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  For now we are just 2 Germans with a big dream. We want to create a place within nature and learn together about permaculture, animal life and sustainability. Golfito is a 10min boat ride (no roads to our property) but at high tide, we can offer a lift if convenient. We love to learn about other people's dreams and enjoy any help we can get to realize ours. We can offer a fair amount of knowledge and a good animal spotting eye.

  Arbeit

  We need help building huts and paths, gardening, planting, creating a beautiful space from scratch. BUT MIND YOU: For now it is a piece of jungle on a hill, so do expect to sweat and be accompanied by mosquitos. We will have very simple accomodation in the beginning.

  Unterkunft

  In the beginning it will be a tent on a platform with a matress and sheets inside. But building a proper wooden shack will be one of the first tasks with any volunteers.
  
  We will offer one meal per day and an opportunity to cook and go shopping. When there are fruits and veggies growing on the finca, they will be shared.
  
  There will be an option to cook and we will offer one meal per day. Grocery shopping may be done together in town by boat.

  Was noch ...

  Please be aware that the property is only accessable by boat for now. At low tide we will not be able to leave. There will be all kinds of animals (also the unpopular ones like spiders, snakes and moskitos). We have different kind of monkeys crossing the territory and hundreds of birds all over the place. We want to get a canoe to be able to paddel through the mangroves. Hiking is possible on our property (if exhausting because of the steep paths) and there is a little waterfall to cool off. In Golfito there is game fishing, whale watching, diving, a National park, a few bars and there are two beaches within 30 min boat ride.
  
  In the beginning life will be very simple, so if you need special treatment, access to shopping 24/7 or cannot handle heat and insects-it might not be for you.
