Beschreibung
Here we run a small, quality driven vineyard in the superb terroir of the Colchagua Valley, a region famous for it´s red wines. The estate, half an hour from the Santa Cruz, combines Tuscan, Chilean and Spanish expertise to extract the best from our soils. Our ethos is the most natural production possible, this means no pesticides, herbicides or added sulphur, allowing nature to share and be part of our wines in the bodega and the vineyard.
We have an array of maturing vineyards, of different varieties and trellis-types, all of which need careful work throughout the year. We make our wine onsite in a purpose built bodega, conducting fermentation in clay amphora as well as Chilean oak casks. When not working with wine we have other on site interests such as finishing our house and gardens and looking after our horses and dogs.
Our passions do not stop at wine: cooking, literature, music and art are all enmeshed in the fabric of what we do. We very much look forward to sharing these themes with you, perhaps teaching you something and expanding our own horizons!Arten von Hilfe und Lernmöglichkeiten

Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten
We are part of a small, but tight-knit community here, with many varied and interesting stories to tell between us. However, we are united by our joi de vivre and love of wine.
Visitors can expect to learn about winemaking and Chilean country living (talking to locals, visiting the market). Prepare to be amazed at some of the stories you hear!
Nearby are the surf town of Pichilemu as well as the regional hub of Santa Cruz, serviced regularly by bus. There is the chance to liase with other workawayers in the area and during the harvest season visit the various local ´Fiestas de la Vendimia´, a chance to taste your way through myriad wines. Otherwise, many bodegas accomodate tourism throughout the year.
Overall, this is something we hope to benefit equally from and hope you have a great time!Arbeit
Work on the vineyard is the priority for our Workawayers. This could be weeding, pruning or bringing in the harvest by hand, all essential annual jobs here. Bodega work peaks during the winemaking period (from February to April), when destemming, treading the grapes, pressing and punching down take place.
Additional jobs that may be requested include work in the gardens (we are starting a permaculture project this year), and help in finishing construction of the house and bodega. It is worth noting that Workawayers are invited to share in the cooking (great fun) and cleaning here, living as part of the household.Gesprochene Sprachen
