Hello my dears,
you are really welcome to join our experience.
After a while, almost 10 years, we have decided to move into a new scenario. We want to build and create a new atmosphere and setup for our land. We are not a production farm or a company, we want only enrich our surroundings with biodiversity and vitality. We are aiming to bring a contribution to our society as a family and I wish to have you to support on us on achieving that.
Our final purpose is to create a balance in our country-side between nature and ourselves. This equilibrium would come giving to nature all tools to grow and sustain themselves with small support from our side. We are a family who owns a 3 hectares (7.5 acres) land in an hilly country-side. We have a garden with fruit trees, Olive trees, walnut and hazelnut trees, Orange and Lemon trees and much more...
To maintain the farm there are many activities each part of the year. Olive oil, marmalades and many other products would not have been possible without this basic support. That's a first task to start from your side.
Furthermore we have some ideas to go onto the next step.
We have started having 3 hives with the intention to expand to much more in 3-5 years and commence to build all facilities to achieve that. We want to increase the biodiversity in the area with the creation of a wild flowers, Mediterranean plants and official medicinal plants. The bees will be immersed in a colourful scenario to settle down in the best way.
In the last years we have planted few hundred Lavender plants with the purpose trough distillation on having oil and derivates.
There are also idea on how to use hundreds of reeds. Those are still under development, but feel free to bring your ideas.
We wish to have you there as family, couple for at least three weeks or a month You will have your own woods apartment, Wi-Fi connection and privacy. The kitchen, toilette and dependence are close by and you will feel in a paradise with stillness and calm all around. If you want to work with us and being connected with your "real" work it would be great as well. We are looking for people staying for long and bringing their contribution.
The agreement is working for 4 days a week and 6 hours each. You'll have the chance to cultivate your own garden in a dedicated area and harvesting all fruits you need on the daily basis. In return we will ask you to take care on your own about the food. A bike is at your disposal so in case you want to shop at closest village you will need 10 minutes.
My wife and myself with our 2 years old child are living abroad for long and will catch up as you wish and meet maybe once a month. My parents will be in the country side with my sister and family. You will be part of the family and we want you to feel comfortable with you way of living. That's why our intention is to give you the chance to create your own atmosphere and space.
It can be a paradise for most of you and many friends found our place unique to stay also for long. For who wants to disconnect from real world, but still being connected with their own job via computer.
Feel free to start this experience together, i am keen and happy to open the door of our house.

We are non-smokers and only host non smokers too. Event if we don't usually eat that much meat, we are kind of vegetarians, and we would probably find it easy to cook for a vegetarian or even vegan.
We are also sorry not to be able to accept dogs because we have already 5.

Arbeit
Duties/various tasks, depending on the season: helping in the vegetable garden, taking care of the animals, preserving and canning fruits and vegetables, improving the housings of the animals, sometimes helping with construction, gardening and making flowerbeds, harvesting fruits, nuts !
Schedule:
We expect approximatly 24 hours work per week at your will. Saturday and Sunday are off-day. You'll be working on some tasks that have been explained most of time in the mornings or weekly basis.
Some of our projects for this year: lots of gardening, Olive and Nuts harvesting , making marmalades and all kind of preserves depending on the time of the year, supporting with bees, working on a room still to be renovated, helping in the stone-oven room to make bread, clean up the stream with a photo-book with all the changes and fences and so many other ideas...
We will prefer experienced people , but please explain your wishes to come and what you can offer and we are happy to host you. Flexibility is our favourite word.
People with physical issues (asthma, heart-problems...) may please tell us in advance, so that we can schedule their stay in accordance to their physical capacities.

Our helpers are hosted in their own apartment with all facilities
The meals: you have your own kitchen and you can cultivate your food in the garden or buy it at village. there is a bike to support you on that. You will be able to try the dozens of local food sorts. We also have a Wifi or CPL-Internet access inside the house.

Faiano is located on an area rich of thermal waters still known in Ancient Roman era, the town counts a spring named Sette Bocche (Seven Mouths). 1 km from its center there are some ancient Roman Thermae.
