  Thank you for visiting this page. I'm Tatsuya born in 1987. I live with my wife and 1-year-old daughter in a traditional Japanese house in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, the largest city in the northern Japan.
  I love international relationships, and since I was 26 years old, I traveled to 40 countries over the course of 1 year and 7 months. One of the most amazing experiences were working as a volunteer in workaway at a dairy farm in Turkey and a B&B in Denmark.
  Now that I have a small daughter, it has become more difficult to travel abroad than before, but instead, I live in a relatively spacious house, so I would like to interact with various people from all over the world as a host this time.

  You can live in a traditional Japanese house and spend time in nature or in the city.
  
  [House]
  My grandparents used to live this house where my grandparents, so you can get a feel for Japanese culture. We provide you with a private tatami room and foldable futon.
  
  [Sendai city and around our house]
  Sendai is one of the largest cities in Japan. We live about 7 kilometers away from Sendai station. Here is a relatively calm place.
  There is a river flowing nearby, and you can try to go to the mountains by a our bicycle, though it's a bit far. The sea is 30 mins far by car. You can come into contact with a lot of nature like that, and you can go to an urban place, the center of Sendai city in just 15 minutes from the nearest station where 1.5 km away from our house, so you can go out to play in the city or sightsee around Sendai city.
  
  [With us]
  Aside from your tasks such as DIY, childcare, you might have the following experiences.
  - Conversation with a host (myself) who has traveled around the world
  - Yoga lesson by my wife who is a professional yoga instructor.
  - I'm a professional life-coach. I'd like to be able to provide coaching sessions in English. So I might ask you to have it as a kind of practice. Of course you can decline it if you don't want.
  - I'm a semi-professional photographer. Maybe I can take a photo of you nicely.

  Arbeit

  I would like to ask you to do mainly three things as below.
  The working time will not exceed 5 hours.
  ①Child/baby care for 1-year-old daughter
  ②DIY for an old house built over 50 years ago
  ③Basic housework (only when ① and ② are too few)
  
  ①Child/baby care for 1-year-old daughter *1 to 2 hours a day
  Our request:
  - Playing with our daughter (help her walk, reading an English book etc.)
  - Changing diapers (If our daughter is okay)
  - Feeding (If our daughter is okay)
  Rather than teaching my daughter to study so hard, I want her to grow up out of curiosity. I also believe that interacting with a variety of adults has a positive effect on a child's growth, so I just want you to have fun playing with our daughter.
  We sometimes speak to my daughter in English, but since both my wife and I are non-native English speaker, I wish our daughter could have opportunity to communicate in more like native English.
  
  ②DIY for an old house built over 50 years ago *0 to 3 hours a day
  Our request depends on our situation such as;
  - Painting the wall (internal and external)
  - Renovate a whole room
  - Gardening
  - Cleaning
  We have been living in a more than 50-year-old traditional house since 2023. Many parts of the DIY work have already been completed by ourselves, but there are still tasks left to do, such as painting the exterior of the house and setting up the garden. I'm also thinking about making small furniture and toys for our baby that will fit the child's growth. I would be very grateful if you could help me with these tasks.
  
  ③Basic housework (only when ① and ② are too few) *0 to 2 hour
  Our request:
  - Cleaning the house
  - Washing dishes
  - etc.
  We are a family of three living in a single house, so I don't know how much DIY work is needed. (maybe not much)
  If we don't have a lot of DIY work to do, it would be very helpful if you could do basic housework such as cleaning the house, washing the dishes and cooking.
  Of course, I think there are people who like and dislike specific types of housework, and I think it's boring to do the housework only, so I think it's best to talk with you what kind of housework you will do.
  
  [You can make a plan by yourself]
  Above ① should be the must on working days. Other than that, you can arrange your working time.
  For example, you work two times of ② in a day, then you won't work for ② on the next day. In that case, you will play with our daughter in the morning, then your task is done. You can go around Sendai city by yourself afterwards.

  Unterkunft

  [Location]
  Our house is located 1.5 kilometers from Tomizawa Station in Sendai City.
  It takes at least 1.5 hours to get from Tokyo to Sendai Station by Shinkansen, and from Sendai Station to Tomizawa Station it takes about 15 minutes by subway. We rent out our bicycle to you, so you can use them freely. Also, if you wish, we can pick you up from the station by car, and occasionally take you to the beach or sightseeing spots.
  
  [Room to stay]
  The room you will be using is a private tatami room. You can sleep on a futon, foldable bed there. This room does not have a lock and is located next to the living room, so you might find it difficult to relax. In that case, you may be asked to use a Western-style room with air conditioning. We have included photos, but you can also come to our home and decide according to your wishes.
  If you need a desk or chair, please we will arrange them.
  
  We don't need that much work, so you won't be staying with other volunteers. Rather than having fun with a large number of people, let's enjoy a relaxing Japanese lifestyle together.
  
  [Meals]
  We provide 3 meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner regardless weekdays and holidays.
  - Breakfast will be arranged by yourself: e.g. Bread, serials, banana, egg etc.
  - Lunch will basically be cooked by us
  - Dinner will be cooked for all of us (you and us) alternatively by you and us. We'd like to eat dinner together at least once in two days.
  We usually eat Japanese food or Western food such as pasta, but we're also interested in new things, so we're looking forward to having you cook something from your country though it's not mandatory.
  
  [Facilities]
  - Unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi
  - The toilet having a washlet
  - Relatively large kitchen for a Japanese house
  - The washing machine has a dryer function, so you don't have to take time to dry your laundry. You can privately use it once in 2 or 3 days.
  - Bicycle
  
  [Rules]
  - We value our daughter above all else. Depending on our daughter's growth, she may cry a lot, play pranks, or be shy, but I would be happy if you could treat her with the utmost respect.
  - No smoking inside the house. If you want to smoke, please go outside and smoke.
  
  [Special events]
  - If you and we have time on holidays, we may go to the sea, mountains, parks etc. together if you like. At that time, we may invite our local friends.
