Beschreibung
We are a small family with one kid who lives on a small farm in the very middle of Skåne (southern Sweden) together with a bunch of horses, cats, hens, dog and bees. We have 6 hectare land, mainly used for keeping horses. We have also a lovely garden and grow vegetables in a small scale. We are perfectly situated in the middle of Skåne with a lot of nature, beaches and culture within an hours reach by car. At our place you can ride horsebacks and carrages, go for walks/bike rides or just hang out in the hammock. We are happy to take you to interesting places around or to give you advice on where to go if you want to explore Skåne on your own.

You will live with the family and take part in out every day life. We are happy to share our knowledge in keeping horses/riding and beekeeping. There is always something to learn from others and we are looking forward to exchange experiences with you.

We need help with gardening and care for horses/hens/dog. Perhaps some small renovation projects around the houses. Cooking. General care for our farm. We are primarily interested in travellers staying for 1-4 weeks.

You will have your own bed room in the house. Shared kitchen and bathroom with the family.

You will share kitchen with the family and you are more than welcome to do the cooking. We eat vegetarian food. You will receive breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Our location in the middle of Skåne is ideal for daytrips. Big citys like Malmö och Copenhagen are within aprox an hours reach, as is the ocean, forests, beaches and everything else Skåne has to offer. We are about located 10 minutes away from a small town. We are happy to show you our favorite spots or give you tips about where to go if you want to go shopping, do adventures or enjoy the calm in different types of nature by your own.

I have no idea of how to start this feedback because I experienced so much in these few weeks.
First of all the pictures on this profile don't show the… read more real beauty of the house and the cute little farm.
But even more important is the lovely family living in there. They make you feel welcome from the very first second and you will feel like a family member soon.
Kajsa is such an energetic and optimistic person and there is always a lot going on when you are with her. Never trust her when she says that you are ready and on the way home ;) there will always come up another plan or thing to do. But that's good. You will meet a lot of people, see so many different places and working with her is always funny! Additionally she always makes sure that you want to help and that you visit a lot of beautiful places on your days off in return. Relaxing with Kajsa at the lake after carrying (too many ;) ) jumping obstacles for a riding competition is the best way to finish a work day! Going on some riding tours with Kajsa is also a must do if you are interested in horses :)
Johan is a very clever, funny and open minded person who is always very interested in you. He knows so many interesting things so even driving in the car is super exciting with him because he always tells you some crazy stories about Swedish people or buildings. I haven't met a lot of people who are as helpful as Johan. He always finds time to help you plan one of your days off (he is probably the best Malmö guide! ;) ). He even gave me a lot of tips for my road-trip after the stay with them.
One of my highlights was helping Johan with making honey! Bees are such interesting animals and Johan knows a lot about them. And - of course - the honey is super delicious too!
Their 7 years old daughter is super cute and a funny and energetic child. She is very shy at first but opens up more and more after some time :)
It's a little bit sad that you can't talk with her because she only speaks Swedish.
The work you are doing is different every day so it's never boring. You are helping in the garden, the house, with the animals, with some small painting/repairing tasks or different projects that are coming up.
The work is not hard and Johan and Kajsa always make sure that the tasks are okay for you.
I've worked more than I had to because it was fun to help but it's not expected to work more than written in the profile. You got enough free time and they always take you with them on different trips or even family events like birthdays. So you will also meet their families and friends that are all so open minded and interested in you.
Additionally the family is vegetarian and the food is always very good (there is never a lack of zucchini ;) )!
And be careful: there is a big risk of falling in love with the dog!! Unfortunately she is too big and I couldn't fit her in my luggage to take her with me to Germany. ;)
I could write even more but I think the best way to find out more about this family and beautiful Sweden is to just make your own experience and memories! So don't hesitate to contact this lovely host family! :)
Thank you so much for everything, Kajsa, Johan and Tuva! I am going to miss you and hope we will see each other again one day!
