Beschreibung
We have a spray free farm (until recently certified organic)at Coorabell in the hinterland above Byron Bay. We need help with our garlic ginger and turmeric also a small herd of goats.Also help with home gardens and general maintenance Accommodation is in a private guest quarters attached to our owner built house.There is a bedroom and separate bathroom and self contained out door kitchen (under cover)We love to share meals at least 2 times a week.
We are passionate about organic food and sustainability and also enjoy company of travellers, conversation over a meal together and also working together.
Our farm is beautiful and borders the Wilsons River, we have extensive remnant rainforest, and walks and swimming in the waterholes are part of the experience.

They will learn about environmental issues, spray free processes and sustainability. We are entirely off the grid and have been for 30 years. We love meeting people and enjoy learning about their lives and interests

Harvesting ginger and Turmeric and delivery to outlets from April till nov, weeding Garlic crop and fertilizing and mulching.as well as harvesting the garlic and hanging it in barn in nov ,dec Planting garlic in april,Also some seed planting of green manure crops depending on time of year.. We have goats and chooks to feed and sometimes baby goats.there is also gardening required around the home.Also some tree planting and forrest maintenance

Close to Byron bay (15mins), also nearby to Minyon falls, whale watching, surfing beaches, and the Crystal Castle. Walks in national parks close by also picnic and swimming at riverside on our property.

They attended with thoroughness and great attitude all that was asked of them.This included feeding goats and chooks and geese ,also feeding and playing with our dog Sunny!(who now misses them)

They both worked with100% energy and never complain,quick to pick up skills and reliable and punctual.
We absolutely would recommend them as workawayers and wish them all the best.
In our stay we helped harvesting garlic, clean and hang them at the barn. We also when required help gardening, feeding animals and other little job around the farm. Everything really easy and enjoyable. We worked from 8 o’clock till 12/12.30.
