Beschreibung
My name is Katrin. I have been living on Fuerteventura since 2011 and on this finca since 2015.
What I love most about this place is the peaceful atmosphere, the open landscape and the incredible ocean views and sunsets on the west coast of the island.
The finca runs 100% on solar and wind energy and is largely self-sufficient.
Over the years, many trees have been planted, a garden created, and the space slowly shaped with care and patience. Chickens and ducks have moved in from the neighbouring animal rescue sanctuary and are now part of daily life here.
This is a personal long-term project focused on maintaining and renovating the finca, caring for the land and supporting organic and more conscious ways of living.
The goal is to create a space in harmony with nature — built, repaired and grown with care and intention.
My background includes yoga, therapeutic movement and bodywork.
The finca reflects this rhythm: quiet, simple and connected to nature. -

Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten
The exchange here is less about organised activities and more about sharing everyday life,
practical skills and perspectives in an authentic way.
Guests can learn about sustainable living, organic gardening, working with the land and life on a solar- and wind-powered finca. Depending on interest, there may also be space to explore yoga, mindfulness or bodywork.
I always enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and learning from the experiences and skills they bring with them. For me, the most valuable part of hosting is meaningful human connection and a shared, grounded way of living close to nature. -
Arbeit
I live and care for the finca mostly on my own and truly appreciate reliable, motivated people who enjoy practical work and can take initiative. Tasks vary depending on the season and your own skills and interests — sometimes we work together, sometimes independently, always in a relaxed and respectful atmosphere.
Garden & land:
Laying paths, maintaining planting areas and tree beds, watering, planting, and working with beneficial microorganisms — multiplying them, applying them to the soil and mulching afterwards.
Animal care:
Maintaining and cleaning the chicken and duck enclosures — keeping them in good shape is a regular and important part of finca life.
Building & renovation:
Depending on your skills, there is always something to work on: repairing the house facade, building fences, laying floors or tiles, working on the yoga room, and one special ongoing project — transforming an old pool ruin into something beautiful and creative. General repair work around the house is also always welcome.
I value kindness, reliability and openness more than perfect skills. In exchange for accommodation, the help is around 3–4 hours per day, 5 days a week, with 2 days off. -

Unterkunft
The caravan "Olita" is a cosy and peaceful little sanctuary nestled between banana and olive trees. It was creatively redesigned by a carpenter and stage designer, giving it a unique and welcoming atmosphere with shade, wind protection and comfort.
The wind-sheltered terrace with ocean views invites you to slow down, read or simply enjoy the surroundings and sunsets. A hammock is perfect for relaxing — by day with views of the garden, mountains and ocean, or at night under a spectacular starry sky.
Olita includes your own kitchen with fridge and basic equipment, electricity, an outdoor shower (cold water) and a compost dry toilet.
I do not provide meals as part of the exchange — you are welcome to cook for yourself. There is a mini market in La Pared and supermarkets in Costa Calma. Occasionally we may share a meal together, but I cannot guarantee this regularly. -

The area is perfect for hiking, surfing, exploring quiet beaches and enjoying the stillness of nature.
About 3 km away is the small village of La Pared with a beautiful surf spot, surf schools, a café and a restaurant.
Having your own transport is highly recommended as public transport is very limited.
Right next to the finca is a horse and animal rescue sanctuary — you are welcome to visit and support them voluntarily.
This is not a party place, but a space to unwind, work with the land and enjoy a slower rhythm of life.
I appreciate clean, independent and respectful people who are happy to organise their own free time. -
