  Hello!
  I am Mariska, I am French, my husband is Mike and he is Irish. Mike is a farmer and I am a teacher. We have two dogs, Murphy is an Australian shepherd and Lassy is a Collie.
  We love going for walks, going to the market, visiting places, traveling. I enjoy cooking, mushroom picking and foraging wild plants. Mike is very passionate about sports, all of them but in particular soccer. He is a big Manchester United fan.
  We live in Périgueux, a town in the dordogne region. Périgueux is lovely and very lively, lots of activities and cultural experiences available.
  We live 20mn walking distance from the city center. The bus is also 5mn walking away from the house and can bring you to bigger shopping centers or supermarkets outside the city.

  I was an exchange student twice when I was younger therefore I know how it feels to be away from home but also to want to explore a different way of living. We will make people feel at home and part of our family when they stay with us! Moreover Our region is beautiful, there is loads to do here especially is you are outdoorsy and enjoy the perfect balance between town and countryside.

  Arbeit

  My dad lives in an apartment on the first floor of our house and he needs help with cleaning, food making and general assistance. It would also be lovely to have someone who like gardening and can help me with our vegetables garden. Finally we need someone who is comfortable with dogs and can mind them when we need to go places.

  Unterkunft

  You will have your own bedroom. The bedroom is spacious, it has a lovely window with a balcony and a view of the street. You will also have your own walk in closet with a sink.
  You are more than welcome to use our food, and to enjoy the rest of the house.

  Was noch ...

  Overall we need someone mature who can see things that need to be done in the house and help out with daily chores. Someone who is kind to animals and who is comfortable helping an elderly person.
  You will have lots of times for yourself too, to enjoy the region. You don’t need a car around here, there is buses and trains to go everywhere.
  Bonus would be someone who enjoys playing cards.
