Holy cow we are at the end of the road!!!!!! At the end of a winding dirt road lies 550 acres of wild wilderness with an amazing canyon with a river that invites you to play- Canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and exploring. We have a log main cabin made from trees off the property as well as cabins along the river. We have a garden for growing fresh produce in the summer. For those who don't like to walk we have a 4 wheeler to use to explore. We have two Islandic horses to ride.
We also have a Zodiac, canoe, small lake kayak which we often use to explore this hidden part of the valley which is
really isolated. But don't be scared we are only 25 minutes from a gas station and a main highway that runs through
British Columbia. Last year, while searching for elk, we found a lake and we named it after one of the workawayers,- it is now known as Jells Lake. As well, she found a beautiful piece of petrified wood and her boyfriend found a beautiful set of antlers at Jells lake, a very special experience for all of us. There's many opportunities for one
day expeditions of various wilderness experiences. Photographers love it here, we know you will too.Arten von Hilfe und Lernmöglichkeiten

We love to get to know our workawayers and we want you to feel comfortable here! We love to sit down in the evenings to play Crib - and of course to learn any games you can teach us! Out here we will teach you how to chop wood, outdoor cooking, how to make bannok and survive off the land, we will also teach you how to fend off a grizzly Bear ....... JUST KIDDING!

We just recently purchased this property because of the need for a green energy development place. We are looking for people to help us build "green cabins"and a and a community picnic area (ie cobb construction, straw bale, glass bottle, etc). We also want to construct a BMX trail down the mountain. Anyone with mountain bike trail design and construction experience is greatly needed. We are working on several projects - many of which involve building and working with powertools - so if you have experience in these areas and/or a mind for learning mechanical things ,we want you! We love spending time with our workawayers, but we are busy, so we need fast learners who are happy to work independently. Unexpected things are always happening, so the work schedule will not be the same everyday. Please be flexible and willing to put in your five hours per day.
We are visionaries and doers, and we would love to have volunteers who enjoy turning dreams into reality! We really value new ideas, and we try to incorporate ideas of our volunteers; so if you are an architect, engineer, etc. this could be your project playground!! If you're experienced in other things that seem like they'd be useful here, please let us know - we love to learn new things!!
In your email, try to be as specific as you can about your experience so we can try to work together.Gesprochene Sprachen

It is your choice of how much of a Canadian experience you want. We have a rustic cabin built in the 40's on the river with no power, or a rustic cabin close to the main house with power as well as rooms in the main house with full amenities. You can have out door plumbing or indoor plumbing. We keep our fridge stocked, but oftentimes you will be cooking for yourself.
Keep in mind we are in a very remote place! It's a magical place and most volunteers find that there are many things to do for fun in your spare time here on the property...however, internet access is very limited and we are far from a big city. We hope you enjoy experiencing the wilderness as much as we do.Was noch ...
We are located in a very historic area. We are close to a historic national Park that was the center for the Fur Trade . This Historic park has a full era period costume of 1896 with events happening all summer long. Smithers is a 3 hour drive west that has a summer music festival that is recognized Province wide. There are many events to engage with the local indiginous tribes or a train ride to visit the famous Hiada Gwaii. The outdoor experience is the center of these northern communities. You can set your pan in many creeks for Gold in this Omineca Gold Rush area. It is best to come with a vehicle but if not there are other means to get places.

We went to bumble F* nowhere and we loved it! I will never forget the first meeting with Loretta. She stood there with welcoming drinks to make us feel at home. We really felt a part of the family and community. We planned to stay there for 2-3 wks but we stayed there for 2 months!
