  Hostal is a place that has been in the heart of Oaxaca, welcoming guests and volunteers from all over the world for several years. Our family currently runs the hostel. Our purpose is to offer a safe and comfortable place to rest for everyone, where they can feel at home.
  If you'd like to join our team while exploring the city, we have a place for you!
  We have two local employees who handle cleaning and laundry. In addition, we are a family of four who manage reception, sales, reservations, and public relations.
  
  Oaxaca is a multicultural city full of tradition and flavor. By staying with a local family, you'll learn the language, traditions, history, and local cuisine. We prepare the food as a family and maintain regional traditions such as the Guelaguetza, Day of the Dead, Calendas, Muerteadas, Convites, and more.
  
  Hostal es un lugar que ha estado en el centro de Oaxaca recibiendo huespedes y voluntarios de todo el mundo durante varios años. Actualmente nuestra familia lleva el hostal. Nuestro proposito es ofreces un lugar de descanso para todas las personas, que sea seguro y comodo, donde se puedan sentir como en casa.

  Next to the hostel is a park where conventions, workshops, parades, art classes, dance performances, bike rides, historical city tours, and more are held. You can also practice Spanish and English with us.

  Junto al hostal hay un parque donde se hacen convenciones, talleres, desfiles, clases de arte, danza,paseos en bicicleta, recorridos historicos por la ciudad y mas, también puedes practicar español e ingles con nosostros

  Arbeit

  We need volunteers to help with reception and guest management, reservations, and assisting visitors from all over the world while maintaining a respectful and comfortable environment for everyone. The routine includes opening reception, tidying common areas, and helping guests with questions or needs at the hostel. Cleaning bathrooms is not required; we have a dedicated staff member who cleans rooms and bathrooms. We also welcome volunteers to help with social media management, taking photos, maintenance tasks like painting, or, if you have artistic skills, you could even contribute to one of our murals.
  
  Necesitamos voluntarios que quieran apoyar con recepcion y manejo de huespedes, reservaciones, trato de visitantes de todo el mundo mientras mantenemos un ambiente de respeto y comodidad para todos
  La rutina es abrir recepeción, ordenar areas comunes, atender huespedes con dudas o cosas que necesitan en el hostal.
  No es necesario lavar baños, aquí hay una persona que se encarga de la limpieza de habitaciones y baños.
  También se puede pedir apoyo con manejo de redes, tomar fotos, ayuda con mantenimiento como pintura o si tienes habilidades artisticas también podrias expresarte en alguno de nuestos murales.

  Unterkunft

  A shared room with other volunteers is available. It includes a bunk bed, Wi-Fi, a kitchen for preparing your own meals, and shared showers and bathrooms. You can also use all the common areas: terrace, living room, dining room, hammocks, and laundry facilities.
  We provide the ingredients you need to prepare your own breakfast (eggs, milk, tortillas, water, oil, salt, etc.).
  
  The food provided to volunteers is for you to prepare meals to your liking. We understand that some Mexican dishes may be spicy or have strong flavors for a new palate. As a family, we don't have a specific meal schedule, and we know this might be inconvenient for some people. If this is the case, you are welcome to cook meals in our fully equipped kitchen. You will always have the ingredients you need to prepare your breakfast.
  
  Se ofrece una habitación compartida con otros voluntarios, hay litera, wifi, cocina para que te prepares los alimentos, regaderas y baños compartidos, pueden usar todas las areas comunes, terraza, sala, comedor, hamacas y lavanderia .
  Se ofrecen los insumos para que te puedas preparar tu desayuno (huevo, leche, tortillas, agua, aceite, sal, etc.)
  
  Los alimentos que se proveen a los voluntarios son para que se preparen comida a su gusto, sabemos que alguna comida mexicana puede ser picante o tener sabores fuertes para un paladar nuevo, como familia no tenemos un horario específico para los alimentos y sabemos que esto puede se un inconveniente para otras personas, en caso de que este sea el caso se les permite que se cocinen comidas en una cocina equipada. Siempre van a tener insumos para que se puedan preparar su desayuno.

  In your free time, you can explore the city. There are free concerts, parades, sporting events, and more. Oaxaca is a city brimming with art and culture.
  You can also explore the surrounding towns by public transportation for less than $5 and learn about pottery making, traditional weaving, or visit the many archaeological sites in the area.
  Another option is to visit the beach, which is only three hours away. By spending time with us, you'll be able to experience the local lifestyle, visit markets and cultural sites, and cook in the local style.
  
  En tu tiempo libre puedes explorar la ciudad, hay conciertos gratuitos, desfiles, eventos deportivos y mas, Oaxaca es una ciudad llena de arte y cultura.
  También, puedes ir a explorar los pueblos de alrededor en transporte publico por menos de 5 dolares y aprender como se hace la alfareria, tejidos tradicionales o visitar las muchas zonas arqueologicas que hay en este luagar.
  Otra opción es visitar el mar, esta a solo tres horas de nosotros,
  Al compartir tiempo con nosotros van a poder compartir el estilo de vida local, visitar mercados y zonas culturales, cocinar con el estilo local.
